We were happy to get a spot here on a Saturday afternoon, by evening it had filled up. Gravel road in was in good shape. No water that we could find, and no other hook ups. Vault toilets were clean. Great views of the lakes and mountains. Nearby hike up to a couple of alpine lakes as well.

The campsites are first come first serve and we had worries that we would not find something available on a Saturday in late July but we had a few sites to choose from when we arrived. The sites have fire ring, picnic tables, and two valet restrooms near by. The campsites are near several trail heads. No cell service on AT&T.

This was out first trip to the Snowies. Loved this campground. We wanted to stay at Sugarloaf but it was full. Brooklyn Lake is great trailhead for hikes to several alpine lakes as well as just enjoying Brooklyn Lake. The cam sites were well spaced and level. Toilets were clean. Way too much firewood available due to the pine borer. All of the campgrounds that we visited in the Snowies were bare and open due to the dead tree removal from the pine borer. We were lucky to get a site with some small trees around it.

This was our first time camping at Brooklyn Lake, Snowy Range, Medicine Bow Nat'l Forest. What it lacks in amenities (no hookups, showers or dump station on site), it makes up for in views, easy access to trails, fishing with a Wyoming License, of course, and a very clean vault toilets. There was ample fire wood laying on the ground to pick up and use. We camped in mid September with daytime temps in the 70's and evening temps in 40's. A couple things to remember, fill up your water tanks before you get here & have empty gray/black tanks and you will enjoy the quietness & beauty of this place. We did not have any cell service with U.S. Cellular. Our caravan companion had minimal reception with AT&T.
