Beach at your door step! And no one around.
Tide came up unusually high and got out with minimal effort.
Mosquitos? Never saw one. But could be because of the wind. Did shelter ourselves from wind by setting up chairs behind trailer.
Water crazy warm - read reviews about it being brown? Well ya. Thats the sand.
Took 20 minutes and cleaned up some garbage but nothing crazy.
Amazing stay!

During the day the beach is great. Trash cans available but no public bathrooms. When it started getting dark we dug a hole for a fire. The smoke ended up blowing right into our campsite so when we got tired of our eyes burning we put it out. The second day we did we had mosquitoes swarming us instantly. It was not a fun experience. By the time we put everything we wanted in our tent we had many bites and had used almost all our bug spray. The mosquito stick around to well past sunset. In the morning They don’t seem any worse than I would except but once you walk through the seed weed down by the water they will be swarming you again. The hotter it gets in the morning the less and less you see them

We entered via access road 3 on Bluewater Parkway. True boondock site next to dunes with gorgeous views of the gulf. Trash receptacles provided near access road entry/exit points. Hard packed sand allowed driving down the Long Beach easy. Only downside was the amount of trash on the beach. We picked up a large garbage bag of trash from the area around our 27 ft travel trailer. Sad to see the condition of this beach. Water was warm and we did beach combing and splashing in the waves. The weather can move in quickly so it’s important to watch for storms and winds that can impact a stay in the area.

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday it was really nice. Friday and Saturday nights it was a non stop Hispanic Party well into the night. I would not stay here ever again on a weekend. The Sheriff rode through several times during the day but I never saw them do anything.

The beach filled up during the day (spring break week) but there were only a few campers at night. There was even an icecream truck driving the beach several times throughout the day. We read some reviews about bad mosquitoes but we never saw one bug. It’s amazing that camping is allowed right on the beach and it’s free. There are trash cans too. AT&T worked fine for us. We will definitely make a point of returning here in the future.

Fully packed sand. No issues getting ir or out nor driving on the beach.
Spend an afternoon and one night with my dogs.
There were a few RVs camping nearby. Safe and quiet.
I camped the second week of February so it was on the cold side, but I was looking for a little bit of solitude to relax, read and run.
Excellent ATT coverage.

Just make sure you are out of the city limits. Turn left at the red light after the bridge. Look for the "Freeport City Limits" sign. We entered access 2 but I believe there are 5 different ones to use. A lot cleaner and nicer than Galveston!
Just note, the mosquitoes were no joke so be sure to bring something for those!

Enter at Access Road #1. There will also be a large Brazoria Beach sign at this beach entry. See photos. There was a few other rv’ers, vans and big rigs, but lots of room. No permit required. Felt safe, this area is quite isolated, just a lot of local fishers. We stayed one night and the local Sheriff cruised the beach in the morning and came to say hello and see where we were from. Beautiful sunny morning for coffee time and shell picking.
