Overall Rating
This was our 2nd EVER adventure with our new little camper and the first time we have used hook ups. The campground was clean, well laid out, friendly people, and easy to park and set up. While there we drove through all the other campgrounds on the mountain... ALL OF THEM. While Bowery Haven does not have fire pits or consistent picnic tables like one of the other camps did. It is the ONLY one with hook ups, a clean store, excellent proximity to the lake and the setting was superior to the others. We will be coming back again SOON! In fact, we would be headed back there this weekend, but they were all booked.
I was able to send and receive text messages, but didn't pay attention to how many bars we had.
The mosquitos were a challenge. Even with spray and bracelets my hubby and I both came back with a couple dozen bites.
Our favorite activity was walking beside the lake. Simply beautiful.
