5 Days was not enough, So much to see and do in the area. Hiking to the Oasis, cycling trough the area, the metal art project, Slot canyon, and vistas from the nearby hills. What a great experience. Can not wait to come back. Little or no 4g or 5g on our T Mobile and Verizon devices

At night the winds get super strong so expect to not be outside much right after sunset until it cools. The Palm Canton hike that’s a little ways down from the campgrounds is a must hike! Make sure to go early and bring lots of water.

I can't say enough good about this campground and its location! Our site was FHU pull-through and fairly level. Very close to the mountains, which provides for an impressive view every time we sat outside. Lots of trails around. We were towing a Jeep and had a lot of fun in the trails surrounding the park. Overall the site was great and the surroundings are awesome. Far from everything (food and gas in the Borrego Springs village are expensive), but there is a market opened in the Circle Park during weekends
We will definitely return!

The Borrego Palm, Canyon Trail is located at the end of the campground near the dry sites which is nice. Facilities were top notch and kept clean at all times. Showers take tokens, and the token machine is located near the entrance and near the showers. This was our first time visiting the area and the campground and we will return again soon.

After 20+ years living in the Bay Area, we have lots of friends and family back in California to visit from our new home in New Mexico. We generally turn these visits into extended camping trips, and Anza Borrego State Park has become our absolute favorite stop en route. There’s never a question about *whether* we’ll stop here, just about how many days we’ll be able to stay.
It seems like a miracle to find a single place with so many great outdoor activities, such beautiful scenery, a really cool little town with fun places to shop and eat, and an amazing campground. Anza Borrego is that place, and we absolutely love it here. Borrego Palm Campground is a big part of why we keep coming back. Level sites, nicely separated, with full hookups, gorgeous daytime views, and incredible night skies. The bathrooms are spartan but clean. Everything you could need in Borrego Springs is a short, flat bike ride away. And the hiking options are wonderful and limitless.
So far we’ve stuck to the full hookup sites, but the non-electric areas have even better views and nice amenities like big picnic ramadas. Maybe on a future visit…
As others have noted, cell signals are fine for calls and texting, but Internet speed was so-so at best.

We had no idea we were going to be in an International Dark Sky community. From our picnic table, we could see 360 degrees around. The outline of the hills, against the beautiful night sky was just like laying back in a cushy seat at the planetarium as a kid.
The drive to get there took way longer than we planned, but it was worth every sketchy curve along the way.
Hiking was fun in a whole new environment. The art scene was interesting. Friendly people. Hookups were worth every penny, but super cheap!
We do not recommend going after mid-April - too hot!

Cannot access your site before 2:00 pm, even if empty. super strict about that. We enjoyed hiking the Palm Canyon trail and walking around the campground during full moon. Do visit & support the Borrego Art Institute; interesting exhibitions and reasonable prices. We hit the farmers market when we were leaving on Friday morning. Bought nylon scrubbies, pastry, baguette, vegetables, fruit, tamales & salsa. It’s every Friday in town at the Christmas circle from 8-12.

Nights are really dark, no park lighting. I need a flashlight to walk on a moonless night. Awesome view of stars. Borrego Springs has a modest selection of restaurants. I was there in a flash on my e-bike. Only two gas stations in town, $1/gal more than closer to civilization. Phone says I have 2 or 3 bar ATT 5G but it never seemed very fast, but it did work.
