Sites are fairly level and have plenty of room, so RVs are not on top of each other. Guests are given a printout of RV sins to be avoided, such as barking dogs, leaving exterior lights on all night, etc., but it appeared to me that these rules are often ignored by guests and not enforced by staff. There were some problems with the sewer hookups draining very slowly and/or clogging. Probably mostly to blame for that are previous guests trying to flush inappropriate stuff down the sewer pipes, but staff should consider snaking the sewer pipes more frequently. Overall a quiet place to stay with plenty of local activities nearby.

This park is right off Route 1 in Bodega Bay. Great access to the town. Staff is friendly. Bathrooms and laundry rooms are clean and well maintained. The sites are level and the hookups are easy to access. Starlink had great speeds. AT&T and Verizon were pretty good, depending on the time of day. I would definitely come back!

Many signs all over cautioning you not to let your dog pee or poo anywhere, not on grass or gravel, other than the dog areas at either end of park. Many signs all over prohibiting bike or skateboard etc. anywhere on the grounds. You have to walk your bike out to the lone trail. No firepits but you can rent one for $25/day. Firewood bundle $30. Access to a trail that will get you to Salmon Beach if you can scale the smallish dunes at the end. Next to Highway 1, 2-lane highway, tight, no bike or walking paths. Town is about 2 miles south. So if you don't have a car you're pretty isolated. They have some games setup, (free) showers in the bathhouse that were acceptable. Laundry facilities were $2.00 wash and $2.00 dry. Best thing is that between the park and Highway One is a great coffee shop with "artisanal" baked goods, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and also a Mexican restaurant with excellent food.

Easy to find, easy check in pleasant staff, my site was raked pea-gravel, very neat. The utilities worked well. the park has a slight downhill slope towards the bay, the site was ever so slightly out of level side-to-side, easily accommodated. The campground is surrounded by tall pine trees. That combined with almost constant overcast skies gave a closed-in feeling. I wish I could tell you what it looks like in sunshine, but there was almost none during my August stay. Town and the beach were about a mile away. Walking on PCH/Highway 1 from the campground would likely be deadly. Functional AT&T service.

Doran Regional park is great for easy lounging on tbe beach. Not much sun but 65 degrees better than 100 inland. Good seafood but Very Expensive. The little town of Bodega where The Birds school scene was filmed is just up the road. Overall, a very good value considering the other RV park is more than double the rate.

We loved this location and staff. Great Wifi. Very Quiet. Close to everything. Very clean restrooms and showers. All spaces are gravel and some have a steep slope but we were able to level. Well stocked store with various RV parts.

While there is nothing technically wrong with the campground, the area is not close to the water and you need to drive everywhere. Not our cup of tea. Clean site, clean bathrooms and well maintained. I found the staff to be okay but not very friendly or helpful.

The camp is really quiet and relaxing, the host is wonderful and gave us great suggestions of things to do and places to visit during our stay. She also told us about a great Farmer’s market that sets up right next to the park on Sundays during the summer.
There’s a Mexican restaurant and a small cafe near the entrance and the office has a good DVD collection to loan out on top of cable TV on most sites. Other campers were very friendly and the whole atmosphere was very relaxing.
Highly recommended!

Although the location is great, don’t stay here if you have kids or want to talk with friends. We had two families and literally got followed around the campsite. We also got a phone call that our kids were unattended (our 9, 11, and 12 year olds kids were waking between RVs).
