County run campground close to Estes Park but far enough away to feel isolated and private. Reserved Site B22 but it was too small for our rig. Fortunately, we were able to move to B20 with no issues. A lot of the sites are VERY unlevel, so bring lots of levelers with you. Pros: great location, sites not too close together, clean and plentiful vault toilets, nice hiking trails. Cons: very expensive for dry camping, no electric hook ups, limited hours at dump station, site sizes and descriptions are not accurate, each (separate) vehicle has to pay a daily $10 entrance fee. Campground water spigot turned off on Oct 1.

Nice and cool weather, very dense forest, quiet one way road. Was perfect for a quick little getaway. We hiked a little of Kruger rock trail, and then headed into Estes to walk around the lake trail and saw a deer and huge bull elk. Then headed into town to check out the Labor Day Weekend arts and crafts festival. Had a great time!

Dump and water on way in. Pull-thru site not very level. Turn around at end of loop could be tight for big rigs. Vault toilets(didnt use). No verizon at all. Very pricey for dry camping. Close to Estes Park and RMNP.
