Stayed one night on our way to Space x. Really cute campsites. Nice area for a swim in the river. Bring some bug spray for sure. Fireflies were giving us quite a show though. Very family friendly and quiet.

There was a nice amount of room between sites. The park is a very short drive to downtown Blanco. It is also possible to walk if you are younger with energy or have bikes. There are several trails in the park with one running along the Blanco River. We were able to get some OTA channels from Austin. If you go, try the BBQ at the Old 300 BBQ restaurant in Blanco. It is very good.

It is a beautiful small park with the Blanco river running through the middle. A nice swimming hole, kayaking, fishing, a few trails, one that connects to a city park in the small town. It is close enough to walk.
The camp hosts take great pride in keeping the park clean. The pinwheel loop of campsites are all 30/50 amp full hookup sites. The longer loop has 30 amp sites. the inside of the loos has full hookups while the outside has water and electric. There is a dump in the park. There are also 5 cabins. We cover all of this in our video:

Friendly staff. Shady sites. Good T-Mobile service. Can rent tubes and kayaks for the river. Nice playground. We were in the only pull through spot and had full hookups. Will definitely be back.

We stayed Sunday through Wednesday because most of the weekends were all booked up. But found out that is what most of the RVers do at this campground. And it was perfect. We were greeted by our camp host and met so many friendly people. My first thought is that the spots was a little to close but that quickly was a after thought. It’s perfect for pets and children. All the campers was quick to invite you around the campfire. The river was beautiful and there was trails to walk and explore. This was so peaceful and enjoyable. And if you can the little town of Blanco was icing on the cake!! Little shops and we are at Redbuds for sandwich and it was amazing. We also stopped at a little pie shop Deutsch Apple Bakery, that made everything fresh each morning and it too was delicious. I wished we would have booked the whole week.

We bring our young grandchildren here every December so they can see the Christmas lights and small parade in downtown Blanco. There are also beautiful lights in nearby Johnson City. The kids love riding their bicycles, throwing rocks in the river, playing on the small playground and fishing. There is a place where you can ride your bikes from the park into town to explore and eat delicious BBQ. It’s the perfect place for families. This is our fourth year to camp here and we plan to be back next year. Everyone including the park staff and hosts as well as the other campers are very friendly. I only gave it 4 stars for noise because you can hear traffic from Hwy 281.

Rain goes through this site like a river. Impossible to make level. Used the maximum # of recommended leveling blocks and still not close to level.
Great fishing, kayaking, tubing and swimming. Be mindful of snakes in grass next to river. Saw one almost everyday here.

This is a beautiful small park that sits on the Blanco river. It's a great place to relax and enjoy the river for 2 to 3 days. There's a couple of short hiking trails worth exploring, but beyond that there's not a lot of additional activities. The park hosts were great and very active in the park. The sites are paved and in fair enough condition. Many of the inner loop sites are full hookup, those on the outside are electric and water only. There's several spots that will accommodate big trailers, but be sure to check out the photos online since many of the spaces are tight and they won't have room for your tow vehicle.
Originally planned for 3 nights, but due to crazy weather we stayed put for a total of 6 nights, and had to move sites for the extra days. When we return it'll likely be for just a couple of nights and a quick stay on the way to Pedernales or another other park.
