This review is from an overnight versus destination point of view. However, this could easily be a destination park if you want to stay in the area and check out Bismarck. This review is from an overnight versus destination point of view. However, this could easily be a destination park if you want to stay in the area and check out Bismarck. The campground (CG) is about a mile off I-94 and easy to find. Check-in was quick and easy, and we proceeded to pull through site 11 right past the check-in office, store, showers, and laundry facility. The gravel site was pretty level, with utilities placed mid-pad. As our next stop was dry camping, I asked for propane, which they gladly picked up our tanks, had them filled, and returned to our site. There’s no cable TV, but we did receive OTA channels, plus we had a good shot to the north sky for our Starlink. There are a lot of mature trees here, so that satellite could be iffy depending on the site. WiFi speed wasn’t very good, but we didn’t need to use it. We got 4 bars on Verizon. The water pressure was good. They have a nice fenced dog area. This is one of the nicer KOAs we’ve stayed in, with a very nice tent area. We enjoyed our overnight stay.

This was a great stop over on our trip out west. The park is close to the interstate but far enough away not to hear it. Staff was friendly and helpful. Sites had everything you would expect. Good dog park, lots of activities if you have kids.

“Awful”

Made us feel unwelcome after issues getting an important package getting delivered. Had to go directly to Fedex because the front desk owner (Margaret) was less than pleasant.

THE GOOD
Sites: Our site had lots of space in the patio area with a good amount of grass. Just about all sites in the park looked good with some grass and not too bad for space. Good water pressure.
Grounds: Clean and well-maintained.
Gas/Food: Gas, groceries, and restaurants just a few minutes away.
Connectivity: Surprisingly decent connectivity. The campground wifi worked nicely for light work.
THE BAD:
Sites: Some sites near us including ours were all dumping a bit uphill.
WORTH NOTING (Not good or bad)
In our area of the park there was lots of tent camper turnover.
Lots of mosquitos so bring bug spray so you aren’t overwhelmed.

Great location for visiting the Bismarck & Mandan area. Staff very friendly upon check in, escorted us to our site. While the site is a typical RV park type site, there was still adequate room for slides and awnings to be out. Good Verizon signal. Would stay here again if I’m the area.

Quick check in as we had registered and paid online. We were led to our site and instructions were efficient and kindly given. Site had a bit of separation on the back half by a hedge, but sites are extremely close together and when I got out of our truck the people in the next site were maybe 10 feet away. We had a pull through with FHU. All were in a good location near the middle to back half of site. They do have a pool but due to virus, you must register for an assigned time to use it and only one group at a time. It's an okay spot for one night. Bit pricey as all KOAs tend to be. We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Travel Trailer

We arrived late and the host stayed up to help us check in and get parked. He even reopened the pool for 15-20 minutes for my son. Clean park, great host, great experience and you hardly recognize the road noise.

This KOA was convenient to stop for a night on our way to Medora, ND. The sites are really close together and the traffic noise from Centennial Road was quite a bit louder than I anticipated.
The staff in the office were really nice. I liked the amount of greenery between sites which did make it feel a little more private.
