We travel full time and needed a way point overnight camping spot on our way to Acadia National Park.
Birch’s is a mostly longer-term seasonal campground of longstanding. There are park models and mostly permanent RV’s of various descriptions used during their season. I’m guessing most people who have spots here also have boats and the lake is beautiful.
There’s a camp store and boat rentals.
We were fortunate to get a nice spot with lake view (C01) and enjoyed sitting in their Adirondack chairs during the afternoon/evening hours. The campground was quiet at night.
It’s a family campground and we were told there are children, mostly on weekends. There were a few running around playing in the cold water on the Friday we were there.
We’d stay here again.
