Hi, does anyone know if I can bring my car, which is quite low to the ground, into these sites?

Overall Rating

These are great secluded sites that are spread out down Big Run Road. There are 19 available and are by reservation only (started in early 2021). These sites have a USFS dispersed camping feel as they are spread out far apart from each other, have no hookups or improved tent or RV pads and only have a fire ring and old picnic table for amenities. There is a stream that runs down parallel to the road with some of the sites being on the same side of the road as the stream and others are not. There are more first come first serve sites and a few pit toilets at the bottom of the road next to the reservoir. No Sprint cell service.

Best sites: 127 and 136 (but you can't go wrong with any, really)

Note: As of 5/17/2021 the bridge on Savage River Road just south of the Big Run Road intersection is out. Savage River Road is CLOSED from Dry Run Road to Big Run Road.
