It has plenty of nice facilities and isn’t too far from Lebanon MO for shopping. We stayed in Campground #2, which has electric only, but were plenty of faucets scattered throughout the campground to fill up at. We stayed @ #213 and was able to reach with 75 feet of hose easily (we could shower without using up the reservoir after dark.) It a very clean park and definitely worth the stay even for non-anglers.

We picked Bennett Spring State Park because it was on our way, got excellent ratings, and was available on a weekend in early May. And it is a well-maintained campground, with good showers, pretty good spacing for most sites, friendly staff and a family atmosphere. Picked up water at the entry dump station, and all sites have electricity.
Still, we were fish out of water at this comfortable state park - no anglers in our crew, and this park is dedicated to trout fishing. Everyone was down at the well-stocked stream and pools with a pole in hand. For us, leisurely biking to watch the fishing action and see the CCC-era architecture, a pleasant campsite, and an excellent trout dinner from the park's Dining Lodge made this a good camping place for us. However, not being into fishing, we probably won't be back, but would recommend Bennett Spring for anyone who is.
Our access into the park felt weird - google maps short cut nearby Lebanon, directed us down a rural route and finally onto narrow gravel road for the final couple of miles coming in from the south. It worked, but was uncomfortable and left us at the opposite end of the park from the campgrounds. Take the approach through Lebanon for the best entry.

Just a stopover on our way out west, but very worth the drive (12 miles) off I-44. Quiet place, easy back ins and pull through in loop 1.
We'd come back for sure, lots to do in the area.

Check-in via text was easy and fast
Beautifully maintained state park
Quiet during week
Pull-thru Site 102 level, concrete pad surrounded by grass
Site sufficient length for trailer and tow vehicle
Metal frame plastic plank picnic table
Metal fire ring with cooking grate
Dark sky friendly except for campsites 101-106
Trash dumpsters throughout campground 1
Firewood for sale $5 at entrance gate house
Huge park store!
CONS.
1 toilet and 1 shower for 48 campsites in Campground 1. Both door locks did not work. There were lines for the one toilet most of the time!!!
$6.50 Reservation Fee
Site 102 had a wonderful view of the entrance gatehouse that had blaring lights all night, the one lane dump station and a dumpster
Campground 101-106 sites slammed together; our campfire ring was 15 feet from neighbors sewer outlet
Site 102 campfire ring was 2 feet from site unmovable picnic table
No privacy from any other sites
No security overnight gate closures
Would not recommend Park restaurant
Don't be alarmed by the early morning and evening sirens...it is to notify when fishing can begin and end for the day. We thought it was a tornado warning!
Small 24hr laundromat on Jefferson Ave Lebanon clean and reasonable.

We enjoyed our stay. Crowded and noisy on weekends but not too bad. Bathrooms old and clean, good washing machines, friendly staff and the springs were very pretty. We camped in a class B.

Great Missouri State Park Campground. Trout fish hatchery and cold water springs. Good food in the restaurant. Plenty of trees on the grounds, although tree coverage is a bit thin in the 50 amp campground. Easy to park in the level pull through site. Excellent t-mobile signal.

Very nice campground. Had excellent cell signal and wifi in our site. Very clean. They advertise they have a pool, but is was torn out a couple years ago. We were just there this past weekend for Memorial weekend and they were pretty full.

We enjoyed four pleasant evenings in Campground #1 during the last week of 2023. There were only four or so other units, so plenty of elbow room.
The shower house and bathroom were open and heated. They were both clean and well maintained.
There were quite a few fishermen participating in the opportunity for catch-and-release of trout. The park store was also open, though the restaurant was not open.
We did a lot of walking on all the park's trails and also walked up the hill to see the other campgrounds. Those other campgrounds are all currently closed. All sites were wooded and looked very pleasant and if they were open, we would prefer those over campground #1 during other times of the year. We enjoyed a First-Day Hike on January 1st led by the park superintendent.

We didn't have much time here, it was a stop over. Def. on our list to visit again.
Volunteers were super nice. The other campers were friendly. Of our 4,000mi trip, this was the busiest location.
Kind of a long drive from the interstate, but super quiet and the river was amazing.
