“Horse camping - no corrals”

Overall Rating

Camping with horses. If you are looking for a quick overnight spot, this is not the place. The campground is way down a washboard, rough dirt road. You can get in fine, the road is just very rough and very slow going. It is a very rustic campground. It seemed that no one had been there for quite some time. Must be used most by hunters. In amenity listings, corrals were listed, but there are none. There was plenty of space for high-line tie outs. If you do go, don’t take the first right at the campground, that is the group site. We came in in the dark, and we thought that was all there was. It was not ideal for a big LQ rig. The site is very uneven. The eight campsites are farther down. Make sure to not take the first right, but to continue straight to the campground sites. We found one trail to ride. Dry camping, no hookups.
If you like way out boondocking, off grid, and you have an hour to creep there so you don’t rattle you rig apart, this is for you.
