“Nice quiet and well used park!”

They only have 2 sites for full 50 amp service with full hook ups. Paved and unpaved walking paths that go through woods and meadows. Great fishing and kayaking lake. Biking trails or inline skating allowed. Golf course was in excellent shape. I would definitely stay here again.

“Remote wooded park, only two spots, this is a park for nature lovers.”

This is not so much an RV park, as a county park that happened to find a couple of spots for RVs.

The highlight of this place is the park itself. It is a jewel on the edge of Twin Cities. There is a long trail for biking, jogging, or walking that goes around the lake. The woods are thick and beautiful and perfect for nature lovers. And you are just minutes from the suburbs, so if you need a civilization fix, it is nearby.

The map of the park is useless, and the spots are a bit hard to find. There are only two of them and they are not well-marked. They are on a little raised hill, and there is no road to them, you just drive across the grass. The only marking is up on the hill by the spot, about 50 feet off the road.

Once you get to your spot, they are next to a heavily wooded area. Each spot has a fire ring and a large concrete pad.

You would think a place like this would be very quiet, but no. We've stayed here twice. The first time a large party at a campsite a quarter mile away cranked loud music until 1:30 AM and we had to call the police to get them to stop. This latest time, a large group at the nearby campsite let their kids run and scream until 11:30 at night. Two days later, some kids decided to fill their water jugs at 7AM, but instead of just filling them, they banged them together for about 10 minutes just to make noise. There is lots of traffic during the day with park vehicles and school field trips. I hope they get their noise problems under control, this could be an easy 5 star stop.

Since there are only two spots, they are in big demand, so get reservations early.
