This is a small park with two marked parking spots past the big parking lot next to the boat launch.
They have pit toilets, pump water, tables and it’s clean! We were here on October 14th and the colors were incredible. We parked along the back edge of the big parking lot.

Clean and free, we parked in the parking lot.
2 sites for trailers gave this a 4 star rating due to a transient trashy person that has been living there for about 6 months ,in the site for trailers, hence why we stayed in the parking lot. Parking was level, some road noise, quiet after 11 pm, Train came thru at 5 am.

The highway is close, but we got good sleep. The train tracks are close, too. And if a train would come through it would sound like it was coming through your tent or camper, I'm sure.
We'll stop there again if needed.

Stayed mid-May. Hesitant at first since there seemed to be campers here exceeding the 14-day limit. Another RV and tent campers arrived after us, so we felt pretty safe. Plenty of parking, green grass, cool views, and picnic tables. Spotless pit toilets! Never heard a train—just rain.

I was in Dillon, looking for a campsite w/ decent WiFi, which wasn't happening... I read other people's reviews of this place and could see that it had good reviews & decent Verizon service, and I figured why not - it's free! I'm pleasantly surprised! The cool thing is that Lewis and Clark actually stopped here, remarking on the big exposed cliff wall across the river, at the far side of the campground. It's called Rattlesnake Cliff, and you can Google the details. Pretty cool to be camping where they did! Anyway - it has a nice grassy area between the parking lot (where you camp) and the river. There's noise from the Interstate, but not overwhelming... I didn't hear the train, but the tracks run right next to the gravel parking area. There's fishing right here, if you like that. I think this was a great find...

Not at all crowded and no mosquitoes to bother me. Pit toilets in walking distance from where I parked. I’ll let you know about the trains.

This was a sweet spot! We woke up viewing the magnificent mountains! Even that our Verizon phones said only two bars, our cell service was fabulous! We were disappointed to NOT have a train come by in the middle of the night. We’re train people. 🤗
