The negatives: majority of the campsites are very close to the dirt road. The road in and out is horrible! It is definitely not wide enough for two vehicles- small or large. If there was a place to turn around, we would have looked for a different campground. We were lucky enough on our way in to not have to deal with another. Who let coming the opposite direction going in. When we left, there was a truck pulling a travel trailer coming in to camp. We are thankful that the guy ahead of us, also leaving, came down the road to warn us of the situation. One of the, had to obviously back up and thankfully there was a open campsite the incoming trailer could pull into. The road is not level, so the travel trailer backing up had to back up down a hill and around a curve in order to get by. Not to mention our truck and travel trailer and 2 more behind us. We spoke to another camper who came in his Class C rig. He bottomed out and tore up his hitch and wiring around it.
If you are tent camping and don’t have a RV, you might be okay. As I said the scenery is beautiful.

The road was a bit bumping, but mostly maintained and drivable. The campsite was quiet, relatively clean, lots of firewood available.

We stayed at site #2. large spot kind of on a slight hill. Lots of fire wood to be found. Road was bumpy and lots of rocks but we made it with our PT Cruiser. And only went as far as site 2. I would stay again. Ranger does come by and checks how long you have been there. Lots of traffic on weekends

Any vehicle with weight to it will likely slice a tire on the hundreds of exposed sharp rock shards which is what much of the road is...more solid than gravel in many places.
There are WAAAY better places to try and get into...don't bother with this one. Crappy cell, zero tv channels.

Came here as a last resort for finding a campsite Labor Day weekend and was pleasantly surprised. Site 1 had a good amount of space, a firepit between some trees, and was pretty secluded which was nice. We could here the neighboring site talking though. The only complaint I have is that there was a decent amount of broken glass/trash in the site in various areas. It was mostly together but you had to watch out. The road was also rough for a car to take but if you don't mind a little wear and are careful you can do it. Very close to shops etc. for being in the woods!

I have now stayed at this campsite #9 a few times. The camp grounds are clean and the dirt road is fine for normal cars. However the creek beds are dry right now and there are several you may have to cross to get to some of the camp lots so during a high water season this may be an issue for a low car. I have not yet seen a high water season yet to give accurate info on that.
There is lots of wild life and trails to walk on. I always see deer and other critters. We will to bring some bags of critter food and bird seed to see more wildlife and spread it around the campsite.
So Campsite #9 is a very large lot and can fit a huge group of people its flat and smooth ground so no rocks in your back while sleeping. Plenty of shade though out the day but you will have to move around your chairs during certain times to get the good tree shade. There is a creek bed that runs right next to the site but during the summer it is dry. For the most part this site is toward the end of the camping zone so there is not a lot of traffic that comes by other then those going to off road a little further. Lots of gold panning going on but I don't know if there is gold there. Overall I love the site. There is no toilets, showers, or water, so please bring extra bags to clean up toilet paper and poop, plus trash. Its alows about 10 minutes to Linx lake.
