Like others have written, the road in is narrow and winding. No problem for me in my 22' campervan but those with larger rigs might want to be extra careful. My site was close enough to the river to be able to hear it at night - which was great! Also regarding my site, it was not very level and I had to use my two sets of blocks to just get close to level. And I was not happy to find there was left over trash on it. Speaking of, each site gets its own trash can which gets maintained by park staff. Many sites are great for tent campers. There are a few with electric, some 30amp, others 50 amp. The sites right on the water are terrific but I saw some other sites that were also quite nice in terms of woodsy scenery and privacy. The camp store is well stocked. You can get wifi there and it reaches pretty far but not as far as to my site (37). I found no Verizon signal and a very weak inconsistent AT&T signal. The bathhouses are dated but totally functional and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. It was a little over an hour away to the newest national park at River Gorge - so that's a plus! And there is a little bit of hiking not far away. I did a 4 mile-ish hike called the cave hike that was quite enjoyable.

Easy check-in at the campground store. Reservations only in 2020. Some of the sites are right on the water (Middle Fork River), which was awesome. We could hear the rushing water all night long. Each site has a picnic table, high-backed wooden bench, and fire-pit. The fire-pits have nice big WV stamp-outs around the sides to let the heat out!!
The camp store sold reasonably priced, firewood bundles (not sure if you can buy after the store is closed). We think there was room for at least 2 vans at spot #26. Not sure how easy it would be for larger vehicles to move around though. "No alcohol" signs throughout the campground.
No AT&T or GoogleFi (Sprint/T-mobile) cell service but there is WiFi available if you are physically near the campground store.

First the good:
This park offers free admission and free parking.
The natural beauty is evident everywhere you look. Waterfalls, rock formations, mountain laurel, fresh air...what more could you want?
Well stocked, newly renovated camp store with very good pricing.
Friendly, helpful staff
Beautiful, clean campground with waterfront sites.
Newly renovated laundry area in the campground.
Campground can now be reserved online.
Campground is designed for tents or small RVs.
Some observations:
Bathhouses are clean, but dated.
Road into campground is very narrow AND one way. There isn’t wiggle room. Big rigs and RVs over 30ft should avoid this campground.
Campsites are narrow with trees and other obstacles present. While your RV may fit a site in length, trees may interfere with your slides or awning.
Midsized RVs (<30ft) could try sites 41,49,50.
Check route prior to entry. A covered bridge on the way in has a 12 ft clearance.
We visited Audra on a Saturday in May 2019. The park was moderately busy with day use visitors. Kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, and picnicking were popular activities. Campground wasn’t very busy. The ranger and camp store staff were top notch. Patient, helpful, professional, kind - true West Virginia hospitality abounds at Audra. The waterfront campsites are amazing, but not for our setup (insert sad face here). I told hubs I’d be willing to tent camp here. I don’t tent camp. It’s really that beautiful here.
