end of august to check-in to have a chance for a place, How earley approximately in the morning?

We are here on Sunday, August 13, and many sites are open, including the electric/water sites, at 7:30 pm.

We camped at Atlatl May 21, 2019, according to my photos, arriving sometime between 11:00 and noon. We drove through the campground not expecting to find an open site, but surprisingly did - and one with electric and water hookups. Site #38.

I read that a good time is by 8:00 so I showed up at 7:00 and waited and we did end up getting a spot and that was at Christmas time and it's very crowded at Christmas time
