This is our 20th year at Atlantic Oaks. This is a great campground for the National seashore beaches. They have clean showers and restrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is on the bike trail and there are several restaurants near by.

Cons: $$$, sites very close together so no privacy, doesn’t have the camping feel - never saw anyone have a campfire for example. Seems like this park caters to older travelers many with high end class A motorhomes. There are plenty of travel trailers and fifth wheels too, just more class A’s than we typically see.
Overall, this is a nice park to use as a home base for touring the Outer Cape and surrounding areas. If you want full hookups and a convenient location, this is worth the price. If you’re looking for a more camping like experience I’d try the state parks close by.

This park is a great launching point for all things cape cod. The park is a little above average and has a gated entrance. The staff is helpful. From this location, you can ride your bike to the Coast Guard Beach, part of the Cape Cod National Seashore. It is about 10-15 minutes from this location by bike. Also, there is a cool lighthouse just north of the Coast Guard Beach. We were also able to visit Provincetown and take the ferry across to Martha's Vineyard, out of Hyannis. These locations are both within 30 minutes by car.
I highly recommend this park if you want a central location to everything on the cape. Also, be sure to try Beachcomber in Wellfleet - well worth it and one of the best beachfront lounges we have been to.

There is so much to do here with the quaint towns like Chatham, Well Fleet etc.
The park itself is a bit on the rustic side. The sites are tiered and while advertised as pull thrus, the ground in front of some of the sites have huge dips in them which could easily be fixed if they spent any time adding dirt and gravel to smooth them out. It made for quite a bumpy ride getting out of our site. It was also a challenge to get level.
The bathroom/shower house is immaculate and cleaned frequently.
There is an onsite laundry with 4 double sized washers and 4 dryers which were clean and worked well.
There is a really nice larger laundromat which we used (Chatham laundromat)
They need more dumpsters, they were over flowing almost immediately after being emptied.
The grounds are full of weeds and just generally not taken care of. This is why this park is only getting 3 stars.
Also the cable wasn't good. The signal was very weak and staticky.
The dog park was large and shady and there are plenty of walking opportunities. Ticks are a problem here probably due to the overgrown weeds.
They charge an additional $4/night for a dog but it was a dog friendly park and a lot of people had well behaved dogs.
The Cape Cod beaches are really nice and a few of them allow pets. Our favorite dog friendly beaches were Herring Cove in Provincetown and Nauset Light beach which both allowed dogs on leashes at all times.
Access was good in and out. The roads outside the park in good shape.
Wifi in the park was the usual, barely usable for surfing and got bogged down with usage. Cell hotspots worked very well for Verizon (52down/14up) and ATT (40 down/3.5up). T mobile had service but wasn't usable for data.

Our campsite was toward the back of the RV park and it was an end spot, so it didn't feel cramped. Sites are on dirt, so we tracked in a bunch during our stay. We should have told them our cable wasn't working, but didn't.
The laundry room is clean. There are 4 washers and 2 dryers, $3.00 to wash and $0.25 for 5 minutes of drying. We spent $1.50 on drying.
We received some packages while we were here without a problem.

Atlantic Oaks isn't fancy at all, but it makes up for that with an excellent location. You're close (within biking distance or a short drive) to great beaches on both the bay and ocean sides of the Cape. There's direct access from the back of the campground to the bike path that will take you all over the place. Short walk or bike ride to Arnold's seafood and the National Seashore Headquarters. Sites are all pull-throughs laid out in rows; they're close together, but with a lot of trees for shade and privacy. Nice camp store with friendly staff, small playground, bathrooms and laundry super clean and nice (with music piped into the bathrooms!) We found the pet policy a little confusing; they say on the website that pets are allowed, but that they recommend that you don't bring them (??), and they charge $4 per night per dog, which we've never encountered before. That said, we had no trouble with bringing our dogs, and there's a nice off leash dog run area. Eastham is one of the more dog friendly parts of the Cape; dogs are allowed on all the National Seashore beaches that aren't lifeguard protected, and on town beaches between labor day and June 15. Eastham's a great location for a Cape stay--you're close to Chatham, Orleans, and Wellfleet, and Provincetown is an easy drive for a day trip.
Campground is right on Route 6, but the campsites are far enough back that road noise isn't an issue. Getting in was easy; leaving was a little tricky, because you can't take a left turn onto Route 6....but it was pretty easy to find a place to turn around with some pre-planning. Surprisingly good wi-fi; my husband had to do an online session of a class for grad school while we were here; he expected to need to go find a coffee shop or use our hotspot, but the campground wifi worked just fine.

Had a problem with my RV and wanted to reschedule or if necessary cancel where I was not sure how long Clown World would be repairing my RV. Because I was inside the 14 day "POLICY" window they zapped me full price $300. Next time and you should also just don't call and let the spot sit there empty.
