I stayed for 3 nights. Easy to get into town for my Dr appointments and mostly quiet at night. Several good places to eat nearby. It could certainly use a little investment to improve facilities and infrastructure.

In spite of its name, a "resort" this is not. It appears to be a campground carved out of the pine hills years ago, when US-41 ran through open country. Now its a near-urban location that can charge $50 per night for a sub-standard facility. Pads are small and very closely spaced. Our asphalt site pad was in very poor condition with a declining slope that left the sewer connection uphill from the pad. So on leaving, I pulled around to the dump station in front of the office to empty holding tanks. As we pulled out to the road, I was pursued by staff. "Did you use our dump station?" he asked. "Yes," I replied. "It's not free!" "Dude, I have been here for two days!" "Oh. Have a nice day." This was our only contact with staff, as office was closed when we arrived at 6:15 and closed the next morning. Wifi was poor with frequent dropped connections. A good thing: Nice laundry facility with 5 washer/dryer pairs ($2.25 each), folding tables, etc.

I couldn’t recommend this campground under any circumstance.

That said- it’s water and sewer and a place to park. That’s all there is. There is no playground and the pool is closed and looks like it hasn’t been open in a while. There really is no good place for kids to play.
If my truck broke down again I would go back. It felt safe and the staff was amazing.

That being said the people in charge we're nice, the bathhouse and laundry was very clean and convenient. There was a great park with walking trails for our dogs just a mile away. This isn't a vacation destination but we absolutely would stay there again.

We stayed here because we had a family event and wanted to bring our dogs and have our own space. RV's are stacked pretty close to one another, but there are full hookups, showers, laundry and a propane filling station. Our site (22) had lots of shade and was very adequate in the amenities. This place is far from perfect, but overall its worth the convenience.
