The key item to note, make sure you have water before you arrive. The campground provides 50 amp hookup and that is all. There is No available water on site, or dumping. There is a relatively clean bath house. As noted, it is best for smaller RVs. For the price, you cannot pass it up. I worked here for a week, utilizing their WiFi. Ver... more

Verizon phone signal was only one bar and struggled with calls on a occasion.

The campground is basically all seasonal rigs. All sites are close together.
Our site #4 fit our 36' class A just barely. We had to park on blocks to level out. It had rained quite a bit and the ground was soft. Getting down the camp road was tricky due to large low hanging branches. We scraped everything on the roof. When we got to the site, the woman camping next to us came out and said we were not going to fit. My husband is very skilled getting our rig in spots. We checked for mud on the site, which hadn't been mowed in weeks, and backed in. Then the woman asked if we were going to put our slides out. We told her yes. (Our rig with slides out stayed well within our site boundary - on our side of the electric box). She shook her head and walked away. She clearly didn't want us parking there.
There was nothing on our site when we arrived, but a few days later a picnic table showed up while we were gone.
We didn't see or talk to any other campers. The spot we stayed in appeared to be the only one for overnighters. It might be fine for 20' or smaller rigs looking for a quick no frills overnighter. Would not recommend anything bigger due to large overhanging branches.

Had a lovely stay here on August 18th. You can't beat the price ($14/night for electric up to 50 amps). The woman I booked the reservation through was really nice and laid back. Great option if you're looking for something near the Apostle Islands that's inexpensive and includes electricity. I stayed in spot 2, which is near the bathrooms and has a picnic table and fire pit.

Small, older park along Highway 13. Great place for exploring the area around Port Wing. Registration is at the store across from the park. We were given the code for the bathhouse and the WIFI password. Our site had full hookups and very good WIFI. It was toward the back of park away from the highway so there was minimal highway noise. The site was long enough for our trailer and quite close to our neighbor. The bathhouse building is older but clean. It appeared that quite a few of the sites are for longer term campers but we rarely saw anyone. There are also 3 small cabins.
