We stayed here for a week while attending an RV rally. There are 3 entrances to the park; in most cases you'll enter through Gate 2, which leads to the office building. We checked in, received a campground map as well as a book of coupons for the shops in Amana, and were guided to our site.
The campground is laid out in a grid pattern. Most of the roads are gravel. Most of the RV sites are back-to-back back-ins with no divider in-between, so if the spot behind you is empty you'll be able to pull through. The sites are also arranged in groups of four, with a large amount of space between each group. So if you're lucky enough to be in the left site of the two facing the same direction, your driver-side neighbor will be close but you'll have a sizeable front yard. All of the hookups are in the back: you have your own sewer hookup, but the power pole is shared with your next-door neighbor and all four sites attach to individual spigots at the water hookup.
All of the sites are pretty long, with gravel pads, grass yards, and picnic tables. A limited number of fire rings are available upon request, first-come, first-served. There are some trees but most sites are open to the skies. Our site (L14) was nice and level.
There are a few amenities outside of the event buildings. There is one easy to overlook swing set for kids, and one set of cans for recyclables besides one of the several dumpsters scattered throughout the park. They have a propane refill station that large rigs can easily drive up to, though refills weren't available during our stay. Bags of ice are sold at the office, and there is a small laundry room and library in the small community building. The event buildings have bathrooms accessible from the outside, and one also has showers though I didn't personally see them.
The building we used for our rally, the Pioneer building, has a large collection of collapsible chairs and tables as well as a kitchen area with a fridge.
There are no enclosed dog parks, but there is plenty of open grass space to walk dogs on-leash.
In terms of cell service, I saw speeds of 194Mbps down and 27Mbps up on my Verizon hotspot with MIMO antenna, so we had no trouble streaming video. The speed test on my 5G AT&T phone showed 96Mbps down and 8 up.
We would stay here again if we were in the area.

Very large campground and event buildings surrounded by corn fields. Convenient to the Amana Colonies. Site pads are long and graveled with grass strips. Sites are buddy sites with 4 sites sharing utilities. Our site was full hookups.
Showers were disappointing and in need of remodeling.

We arrived late with no booking and they still took us in. Nothing was a problem. It had only just opened back up after winter. This place has everything you need. Well worth the stop. We will come back here

Staff was friendly and helpful. Roads were easy to navigate. We would stay here again.

The free wifi at the RV park is terrible (1 down / .3 up). But I get 100 down/20 up on Verizon.

I travel with dogs and love dogs but this experience was a joke. They host monthly agility trials here so there are hundreds of dogs packed into this campground that will bark and yip non stop from 7 am until well after 10pm. Stay down the road at Kent park if you want peace and quiet.

We enjoyed our time at Amana RV Park. The sites are huge, as long as they don't double them up. A quick 2 minute drive into Amana for a great meat store, restaurants and shops. Right in the middle of all the Amana villages with nearby walking trails and golf course. The wifi didn't work, but the laundry room was ok.

Large open field like RV Park. No shade. But, after hours self check in was great. Good TV via antenna, good cell service and free WiFi worked very well. Comfortable for 1 night in October.

With most of the country shut down and Iowa State Parks closing in early April 2020, we found this to be one of the very few choices we had for a place to stay. The irony is that we sold everything, including the farm, to leave Iowa and fulltime in November, 2019! Never in a million years would have envisioned staying in Iowa as fulltimers in April!!
Having said all that, this is not our kind of place. On the plus side, the place was mostly empty and we had plenty of room to spread out. Other than walking/hiking, there really was nearly nothing to do with nearly everything shut down. The park is enormous and it most definitely is geared toward rallies/events rather than a destination RV park. Basically a huge field with long gravel pads -- sorely in need of updating -- where rigs would be back-to-back while sharing the same power pedestal and spigot. Interior roads are somewhat tight. It is almost impossible to not run over grass while turning into a site. The only facility open was the laundry room which was adequate. Never had a chance to check out the clubhouse or shower facilities. The staff was friendly enough although sticklers for details -- probably because of the Covids.
All in all, we couldn't wait to bust out of there in early May. Would be very unlikely we would ever return here to camp.

Stayed here one night on a cross county trip. Nothing fancy, cornfields all around but right near the Colonies. No privacy but that was fine for us. The person answering the phone to make me ur reservation was very nice. Easy to find our spot after hours when we arrived.
