The price above reflects off season rates and includes HST. We stayed here in early September on a visit to Algonquin Park (which was fully booked).
Our site was a long pull thru with 30 amp. There is a dump station available and it is free after 3 nights stay. The campground is very pretty with a lot of options for camping. Sites are mostly in the pine trees with some bush coverage between sites. We had a bit of a mixup with our site about halfway through (the lettered sections have the same site numbers) but it was quickly settled.
Algonquin Park is only about 1/2 hr drive and we spent two of our days hiking there, Closer to the campground was Oxtongue Rapids and Ragged Falls - both have short, extremely scenic trails.
Huntsville is worth a visit - it has all of the necessities - a nice craft brewery (Canvas Brewing), cute shops and pretty waterfront.
Closer to the campground - French Fry wagon at the garden center was really good and Henrietta’s Bakery was excellent.
Kandt would stay here again

Algonquin Pines Campground is halfway between Huntsville and Algonquin Provincial Parks, about 20km each way. Huntsville is a great sized town where any supplies and restaurants can be found. Huntsville caters to tourists and campers, and some great golf courses in the area to boot!
The campground has a couple of basic hiking trail, but the real allure is that you are only 20km from Algonquin Provincial Park, which is just spectacular.
The new owners Chance & Michelle are terrific, and very service oriented! Wood delivered to your campsite and we were made to feel very welcome. Park roads and site access were great for our 35’ 5th wheel. The park/site maps show which way sites angle so it is really easy to get in/out! The site was quite large, and the pine trees lining the road were well spaced, so it was an easy fit in and out. Once we go to our site #C5 it was spacious, clean and fairly level.
Very little outside noice, so if you are looking for some peace and quiet, this is the park for you! WiFi is free, but slow and 2 bars of Bell cell service.
