Nice campground close to Pinehurst and the Golf Capital of the US. I stayed in the newer section (1.5 yrs old) they are still working on the landscaping of the section but all full hook-ups are in and the roads and sites are gravel with small patches of newly planted trees and bushes between the sites. Nice campground close to Pinehurst and the Golf Capital of the US. I stayed in the newer section (1.5 yrs old) they are still working on the landscaping of the section but all full hook-ups are in and the roads and sites are gravel with small patches of newly planted trees and bushes between the sites. It is located right next to the very small private airport-- think twin-engine Cessna-style planes-- so nothing large or loud. It is nice to see the small planes come and go! There is also an awesome BBQ restaurant on site called the Pik n Pig -- they are currently undergoing renovations (Dec 22) but will reopen soon, I have eaten here many times from 2012 till they closed for renovation and it was good smoked BBQ, the best in the area!
You MUST be self contained to stay here-- no tents, and no bathrooms!

Once they finish the spot I think it will be great - just not exactly what we were expecting

This is an old and new campground located on an airport. There is an older section with very friendly mostly long term tenants and a newer section also. Great bbq restaurant on site. You can sit on the patio and drink beers and watch the planes land. It’s not a fancy place and has little to no amenities but it’s a unique experience... more

You can sit on the patio and drink beers and watch the planes land. It’s not a fancy place and has little to no amenities but it’s a unique experience staying on the airfield. Hookups work great. Highly recommended.
