One stopover on a much longer trip and chose the airpark facility over the south campground as I wanted a less crowded experience. Man, did I get it! Not another soul in the campground, or within a couple of miles if I had to hazard a guess except the few people mentioned below. There's no office or park personnel on the north side. Pitch dark at night, just the way I like it. Sites were all good, level and well spaced. My hookups were good, but only used the 30 amp. Didn't see or use the bathrooms and not sure they have any on the north side. No real view of the lake, but that was fine. Decent tree cover for warmer months. Maybe because it was March, the lack of any other campers made it feel like boondocking in the middle of nowhere. Still convenient to Tiptonville just a few minutes away for gas, groceries, etc. My only complaint was the road that ran by the campground that went to the northwest side of the lake. I was there on a Friday night, and apparently that spot is a magnet for redneck partying. When outside the camper, I could hear the music in the distance, and saw several vehicles drive by headed that way. Driving in they weren't loud or problematic and they were far enough away not to be a real issue so I didn't care. I did run by the south CG office while I was filling up my truck in Tiptonville. Grabbed some firewood and a sticker for the teardrop. Super helpful lady behind the desk. Quite cordial and helpful answering my questions. I would book the Airpark CG again if in the area.
