We drove out of our way to camp here based on the 5 star reviews…sorry but it isn’t a 5 star area. I guess it is all relevant based on where we have camped before. The other reviewers are speaking of one campsite I believe..#13? Otherwise we could not get next to the river or creek. The 1st sites are basically in a parking lot and ... more

The 1st sites are basically in a parking lot and the others are off a gravel area. Trash and toilet paper were all about. We left.

A short trail along Aikens Creek going under Highway 96. The water in the creek was so clear and clean.
We definitely will stay again in the winter months when I'm sure we will have it all to ourselves.

This place is beautiful and so peaceful. We went off the paved road and found a great spot near the Klamath River. Even found our own little private swimming hole. Would definitely come again, not a soul around!

The river and creek are absolutely stunning! If you drive past the paved road section you can get pretty close to the river. If we had any service, we definitely would have stayed more nights!

This appears to be a decommissioned state park. You are going to find a beautiful Klamath River access point. Unfortunately the Klamath has such devastating algae growth your advised to avoid the water completely. You won’t be bothered at all, but your in such a remote area, that becomes an issue as well. This is an Indian Reservation, and you had better be prepared, as any reliable services are over 100 miles away. The natives are not friendly and will be surprised to see any white folk as you have no business being there. Hence the plausible threat of merely stepping foot on this land, but if you need a quick spot for a nights rest, this will suffice.
