Nice and clean with great hot showers. We were touring the 5 Utah parks and this RV site was a welcome little retreat. Owners are friendly and the hookups easy. Quiet and easy to access. Would stay here again.

I had just been unceremoniously shooed away from RV park down the road, and arrived weary and bedraggled at Harry’s place. I’m in a van, so don’t need power or hookups, so although all official sites were full, Harry kindly guided me to his back field, offered several awesome sites to choose from, and even offered to move a picnic table for me. This is a great, friendly, laid back place with awesome owners, decent WiFi and amazing showers!

We stayed at the SandCreek RV camp grounds for 5 nights in July 2020. My boy friend and my two sons 8 and 11 loved our experience there. First of all we were greeted warmly by Harry when we got there. He made sure we are happy from the location of the site to having all the conveniences near us. We were stuck by his kindness and generosity. We are coming from LA and it felt really good to have such great hospitality for a change. He gave us some cool tour guides to read about Capital reef National park and guided us to the best attractions in the area. We spent the next two days exploring the neighborhood attractions like the Goose neck mountains and the Kehab hiking trail. Last day of our visit we went to Bryce Canyon. In my opinion I liked exploring Capital Reef National Park better than visiting Byce since visiting Bryce felt more staged and commercialized. We had a fabulouse time at the camp ground and we will definitely comeback here. Thank you Harry!! You made a difference!! :)

There's a spigot to fill fresh water, but not easy to reach unless you have 80' of hose & nose your truck into an open site. Sites are crazy narrow. If others were next to us. People would be bumping slide outs trying to use picnic table. We pulled ahead a bit so slides wouldn't hit a tree. But then the hookups are in very back of the site. So 3 sewer connections barely reached for me. Wifi worked ok, only 4 other people in the park at the time. Verizon was not great, would go from 3 bars to nothing without even moving around.
Beautiful scenery in the distance. Not much in town. Not really a grocery store any where.

Our slide outs touched the trees on either side of our spot. The trees are young, so I know they’re going to need to be trimmed in the next year or so. Also, if your neighbor decides to start a fire in the fire pit, you might end up with a smoke streak up the side of your camper. All in all, a beautiful location, they just need to make the spaces bigger.

There also was a leaky hose running through our site for irrigation and bricks and 2x4’s littered about our site. A power cord was also ran to our power post that was used for a dry camping site next to us. Our power was turned off several times by whoever was using that site. There was a large shipping container and junk stored next to that sight. We did not have a fire pit to enjoy the cool evenings even though the sites are very close to each other.

We stayed at the Dry side of their area, which is basically an area with gravel and good size black rocks sticking up 3 or 4 inches. We were able to get a spot next to a "manger" that blocked the wind. The full hook areas looked a lot better. They don't allow generators, but I'm pretty sure that at least one of the big RVs was using one. I was able to setup my solar panels and get a full charge, there weren't any trees or other things to block charging.
I don't know if they had bathrooms and showers or not, the office area was definitely a work in progress, and they didn't have any supplies or anything else to buy. There is a general store pretty close so it wasn't an issue.

As noted, the owners are very friendly and helpful. The sites are pull through, which is always great. There’s a fire ring. The public restroom is OK/good.
The reason the site was rated only three is because the sites are fairly close to one another and they are basically weeds and rocks. They required leveling.
Still, this park has a very homey feel to it and access to the park is superb, especially at the price. Wi-Fi was good and att was lte service, both pluses.

We stayed here while visiting capitol reef after several days of boondocking- we were in desperate need of showers so it was time for an RV park.
We called a day or so in advance and all of their full hook up spots were full so we opted for a dry spot- which is fine as we don’t need hook ups. The dry spots however are just a dirt parking lot with a few wind control fences- we were directed to the spot with the view of the red rock cliffs out our front windshield which was great- but to our left was a fence taller than our windows and to the right was an entire pile of scrap wood and tools and things and another fence making it hard to hang out outside of our rig. From these spots we also got weaker signal on the WiFi.
Our second night we switched to a hook up spot that was available since it was cloudy all day so our solar charge was low- here we had much better WiFi signal.
Now like I said before we stopped at an RV park because we needed showers- and these showers were so disappointing. First off the whole bathroom has one light which is near the entrance and then the two showers are tucked in corners in the back- so there’s no light other than a little ambient light coming over the curtain. Then there was just no water pressure so it took forever to rinse shampoo and conditioner out. I didn’t really use the toilets but it seemed one of the two was clogged each time I was in there.
Laundry was fine- $5/load paid in cash to the owners
The owners were also super friendly and accommodating (let us fill our water tanks before getting in our dry spot, letting us switch to hookups the next day when we didn’t have enough solar power, finding our water filter we left on the table when filling our tanks, giving us suggestions for places to go on our travels, etc) if they could get lighted pressured showers and clean up the junk in the dry campsite I’d give them 5 stars!

We camped at the pull through site closest to the main building (I’m not sure of the site number) and had a great WiFi signal without a WiFi extender. Henry and Leslie offered us fresh kale and bok choy from their garden too. Laundry is available for $5/load (wash and dry) via an honor system as is firewood (I think that was $7). Bathrooms were clean. Our overall experience here was outstanding. We’ll definitely be back to stay next time we’re in the area. We did use a cell booster, but cell service was good for video conferencing. We camped 10/1/17-10/8/17.
