Basically same review as others, great staff, friendly always there for what ever your needs.There open until 7pm which is nice if you happen to be coming in later. Basically same review as others, great staff, friendly always there for what ever your needs.There open until 7pm which is nice if you happen to be coming in later. Be mindful if you come in on a Sunday morning there is a church on the corner. So when you turn on to the rd they park on both sides of the road. You have to thread yourself thru.Was there Dec 2023 thur Feb 2024. There for the holidays visiting family. Convenient big cities half an hour to two hours away. Plan on returning maybe next year. The one issue is when it rains the back half of campground floods. I believe there are new owners they say they are working on a way to fix the drainage problem. If not fixed when I come thru again I will stay up front on concrete. That way I’m not ankle deep in water and mud.

Great for one night. Didn't need to disconnect. Nice staff. Great historic places about the Trail of Tears in the area if interested in this.

We arrived today and found a brand new pad with 50 amp full hookup. The pool is clean and has shade, perfect for kid and grownups alike. We are only using it as a quick overnight stop but glad we did as the entire park is pristine and new.

I Wish we could have stayed longer! I Have nothing but good things to say about this park. Helpful and friendly staff. Park has shaded pull thrus w/full hookups. New section offers private fenced pet areas! We used the very clean showers and grandchildren enjoyed play areas and pool. Very quiet location. We will return.

Like other reviews have mentioned, the staff here are super friendly—we called around 8PM for a same-night reservation and they fit us right in. $56 for a pull-through gravel site. Like other reviews have mentioned, the staff here are super friendly—we called around 8PM for a same-night reservation and they fit us right in. $56 for a pull-through gravel site. Site was level, electric, good wifi and cell service, nice little nature path for the dogs to walk. We didn’t pay for a satellite site but were able to get a lot of TV channels over the antenna. We were just passing through, but I wish we’d stayed another night to take advantage of the pool and general store because everything looked so well-kept!

We stayed twice, coming and going to L.A. The first night was fine. Good cell, wifi, clean bathhouse. The second time we stayed, a night in November, we lost power. We stayed twice, coming and going to L.A. The first night was fine. Good cell, wifi, clean bathhouse. The second time we stayed, a night in November, we lost power. We did have battery power, and we had shore power the next night at a different campground. I don't know what happened at the Sallisaw KOA, and we left before the office opened. (We're lost when it comes to RV technology.)

The location is great since it is set off the Interstate. You do not get any road noise from this KOA. We had high expectations based off previous reviews, but what we saw was not was has been previously reported. We stayed one night on 8/15. Spot 18 was shaded, with a gravel pad. The location is great since it is set off the Interstate. You do not get any road noise from this KOA. We had high expectations based off previous reviews, but what we saw was not was has been previously reported. We stayed one night on 8/15. Spot 18 was shaded, with a gravel pad. Spots were a little close together, but the biggest pain for us was the large rocks on the road and paths. It made walks with the dog uncomfortable not only for our dog's paws, but our feet as well. The pond that they rent kayaks for was covered in pond scum and there's no way we would have went on it. The wifi was great and you could even stream on it! The deluxe cabins looked amazing and were a step up from your normal KOA. The last thing for us was that they push for ratings. They want you to rate them perfectly, even if it's not so that they move up the rankings in KOA. We received multiple notifications to rate them so we did. Probably not what they would have wanted. we would not rule out staying here for one night, but it really was a letdown.

When we got our RV back from a dealer's checkup, we took off like a streak for the Sallisaw KOA. We wanted to go to some place with no surprises, like KOA..
In late August, we found our stay very pleasant in a pull through under the trees. The mud that some reviewers wrote about was pretty much dried.
We were able to get quite a few over-the-air antenna stations and didn't bother to try the satellite antenna.
Driving in , we noticed a campground in the sun on the left side of the office. It's not on the campground map, but appears to be part of KOA with the same furniture on patio sites. It probably accommodates RVers who want to use their satellite antenna. Since it's on higher ground, they probably don't have mud/flooding issues.
The pros of the CG are: lots to do -- pool, volleyball, nature walk, tetherball, basketball, and a Gaga Pit(?); well organized; friendly staff; dog friendly with a small playyard, good site size and separation, morning trash pick-up, and short-order food delivered before 6:30 p.m.
Cons are: standing green water from a section of dried up Creek back toward the doggy playyard (but no mosquitoes that I saw). The deep foot- and pawprints in the hardened mud toward the dog yard make you know it's not a place you want to go after heavy rains.
But it was sunny and bright when we were there, and we had a good stay.
