How far from Moab KOA to Arches?! And if you only have a motorhome plugged in at KOA (no extra tow vehicle) are there...

We stayed here during what felt like peak tourist time. This KOA , every RV park, the hotels and everywhere around town was very busy.
Your staying in the desert so the sites are gravel and sand. It’s pretty dusty but to be expected. Very little green grass or shade. And it was so hot during our stay.
But the pool is nice to cool off. And I highly recommend Mill Creek Trail about 3 miles away camp for dog walks and good cold swimming holes.
The camp is well cared for. Clean. Modern. WiFI just average but the closer you get to the office the better it is.
They have a mix of RV sites some huge some small. Tiny houses. Cabins. Tent sites.
We were in site 105. It was huge. We fit our RV and truck and didn’t unhook. Had room for probably 2 more vehicles in this pull thru. But it was noisy and closer to the highway.
If we ever come here again, I’d sacrifice size of site to be further away from the highway.
Heads up this is one of the further RV parks from town and Arches. It’s not far (10 mins) but there are many others closer to the hub if that’s what you’re looking for.

I've seen other reviewers who didn't have great things to say, and I'm guessing perhaps things were different when they stayed, because we have had a great time, and have enjoyed the staff, who have all been friendly, as well as following their enhanced safety protocols due to Covid-19 (as far as we can tell, really). Can't really speak to the noise factor from Hwy 191, because our RV often has the AC running anyway, but when sitting outside the noise from the road is not overpowering that we could tell. Maybe if we were closer to the road or in a tent only it might be different. Noise from the road *is* definitely audible and relatively constant though (kind of like ocean waves, but motorized). So, if you're looking for the absolute quiet of deep desert or remote boondocking, nowhere near a highway or Moab's downtown is going to get you that.
The RV sites are pretty close together, with many sites having somewhere between 10-12 feet separating the RVs, on average.
Although we didn't use the primitive camping spots, the tent camping appears to also be relatively closely spaced, but we've seen quite a few tent sites that appear to hold 5+ tents at once, and the main tent area has a permanent shade built over the most common pitching area, which I imagine helps quite a bit in the 95°+ temperatures during the day in the summer.
Haven't used the pool, but it looks fabulous, and has a spa/hot tub that looks like it might hold 15-20 people at once.
Internet is really quite good, for the most part -- the park's WiFi is solid, reaches easily to our site (not sure about the entire park, we're kinda in the middle), and gets okay speeds during lower trafficked times (mid-day/afternoon/late evening). Wifi is pretty abysmal first thing in the morning, and during prime time (7-10pm). We've guessed it's because everyone is using their phones / tablets / comps to check email and stream shows during dinnertime, so those times we just use cell signal for internet.
That said, the cell signal for all of Moab is great. We're on AT&T and have had 4-5 bars pretty much throughout the Spanish Valley / Moab region. Only once you start getting close to (or into) one of the many canyons outside of Moab do you get the dreaded No Signal problem.
Great location in general, but a little bit further from Moab's downtown than we expected -- there were a couple times the first few days when we kept asking, "Are you sure it's this far out and we haven't passed it already?" <-- Of course this is not possible as they have a big KOA sign easily visible from 191, but it just takes a little getting used to the extra couple miles drive out of town.
All in all, a very nice KOA. We've stayed at many, and this one is up there with some of the nicer parks in the chain.

We loved this KOA! Our only complaint was that the beautiful pool was freezing cold. This property had so much for our kids to do and even though the spaces were tight, our location (right by the Cornhole and Ladderball courts) was perfect! We will definitely be back!

Things take time in Moab!..in All the sites we have stayed in we had no issues leveling, water, or anything else. Store is well stocked for the essentials and gifts etc. It's expensive, but clean and we've never had anything to complain about. Overall one of the better KOA's

Our site (71) was nice; away from the highway and fairly quiet. The facilities were fairly clean, lots of amenities. The water main was broken during the first day of our stay (which we discovered after hiking and wanting to take a shower).
The communication from the staff was abhorrent, was told 3 different things about when water would be turned back on. One staff member gave the impression he couldn't care less about us not having water.
The staff didn't answer the phone at the front desk the entire time we were as well as after we left to try to discuss the issue with the manager. The manager won't return calls regarding stay. Called the national customer service phone number, they said I would have to resolve the issue with KOA in Moab. Hard to do when the manager won't return your calls. Awful customer service.
Considering what you pay to stay here (among the highest rates in Moab) I expected a higher level of customer service. Can't say I would recommend staying here.

The lots are really close from one another, as there are many, it quickly becomes crowded.
The pool is nice, it’s quite big and there is a spa.
The internet is crap, we didn’t get any service.
The campground is really close from the road so you can hear cars all night long.
There’s not a lot of showers and they are old and not very clean.
All in all, you can have this kind of experience in other campgrounds but not for that price. It’s not even that close to the city, even if it’s convenient if you are going to arches NP. I would definitely not recommend it. There were other campgrounds with a better situation in the city and I’m sure, a way friendlier staff.

People come and go at all hours of the night, and engines and headlights will wake you up.
That said, this KOA is a perfect place to stay for a few nights as you go on day trips to things in the surrounding area: Arches National Park (20 minutes by car), Canyonlands National Park (40 minutes by car), the town of Moab, and dirt biking/ATVing if you're into it.
If you're heading or coming from the east, I strongly recommend taking Utah 46 to Colorado 90 through the Paradox Valley. The area near the Utah-Colorado border and the drive between Paradox and Naturita is absolutely beautiful.
RV sites with water and electric are $39-53 per night depending on the site. Wi-fi didn't work.

We stayed here 2 nights. They just opened up the new section we stayed in this May. There are no trees in the new section, a lot of rocks and red dirt. The wifi was slow but did have cable TV. I could hear a fair amount of road noise during the night. We were here to explore the parks and this was a reliable place to stay.

Called to cancel our reservation due to unforseen circumstances. Got a run around as far as holding the line..... then transferred to a voicemail. When called back again.... got a rude MOUTHFUL from another staff member. I called out of fairness to other people that are looking for places to stay (instead of just us not showing up) and now wish I never booked here and never had to call. DO NOT RECOMMED. Other places have better people, I’m sure.
