This was our 3rd time staying here (first in our motorhome). The staff is extremely helpful & friendly. Our cat escaped one day and the staff was great in helping us find her (which we did). We stayed in site #15 which was at the back, very quiet and relaxing. Site was fairly level side to side but a slight slope to the front. A lot of tall trees & enough space between sites. Power, water, sewer and WiFi worked well at our site. Just be aware that there is little to no cell service. A lot of waterfalls in the area along with Crater Lake NP. Services are limited in Prospect, but found a large Wal-Mart 25 miles south in Eagle Point. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here while meeting family to checkout Crater Lake. This is a nice little campground, noise from the hwy can be bothersome as our site is against the hwy. nice trails down to the Rogue River. No cell service but Wi-Fi is amazing!

Clean and quiet. Nice sites under trees. Campfire and wood on request. Excellent WiFi. Check in great and staff very helpful with maps and recommendations for hikes. Trails from park. 35 minutes drive to Crater Lake and walking distance from Prospect. Great food and cocktails at the quaint Prospect Dinner House.

Owners and camp hosts were terrific. Saturday morning they offered fresh baked muffins and coffee. Saturday evening live music and hotdogs around the campfire! Campsites are big rig friendly and some with satellite service. Highly recommend this for your base camp to Crater Lake. Lots to do in the area.

We were greeted with smiles and escorted to our spot. Clean and well spaced, with full hookups. We paid a little extra to have 50 amp, but it was very affordably priced. They do a sliding scale, so the longer you stay, the less you pay per night. We had absolutely no signal, but the wifi was excellent!! We would definitely stay here ... more

Spacious spots that fit big rigs & tow vehicles. It’s a small park, but very clean and well maintained. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. We don’t have cell signal here, but the camp WiFi has been excellent (we’re in work zoom calls all day and had zero issues). Really lovely campground, and we’re sad to leave this weekend.

After reading all reviews from multiple websites, I booked Crater Lake RV Park and decided I would trust the 5 stars. We pulled in just after 3 pm and immediately noticed how clean the park was. The staff provided a list of surrounding hikes to waterfalls, Crater Lake, and directions to The Top of the World lookout, where you can see (on a clear day) for miles - it's a fantastic view and a must-see! The park has excellent wi-fi coverage! The outside of the office has a vast display of pamphlets for sightseeing. Inside, the office, it's clean and has books and other items of interest. Menus for the local eateries were handy. Prospect Pizza is a must and only a 0.7-mile drive. The staff drove us to our pull-in spot, where we noticed we had extra room for our Jeep when we unhooked. Across from our site was one of the two paths leading to the Rouge River and lake. Walking on the path surrounded by lush greenery has you thinking you are deep into the forest as you can listen to the rushing water of the Upper Rouge River. The river and lake are easy to access. The park is tranquil, and everyone was friendly to wave hello when walking by. Quiet hours are 10 pm to 8 am; it felt like it was quiet all day, so there was no need to worry about wanting the silence. The park's vicinity made it easy to venture out daily to the surrounding excursions. It was hard to leave when it came time to go back home.

Most of our camping is done in State parks or boondocking so staying at campground with such nice amenities is a treat! The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the grounds are kept immaculate. This visit had us on the highway side and the noise was a bit much. It does die down at night and after a couple days we got used to it.
No cell service, even boosted. Campground has WIFI! Longer you stay, the lower the rate!

I had high hopes for this place. I don’t know why they call it “crater lake RV” it’s almost an hour from the lake. It’s decently clean but the camp host situation is a bit much. Their seems to be residents at site 37 who let their very large dog poop around their site and don’t pick it up so the smell is constant. There is constantly people coming in to the park so if your near the entrance its very busy. They advertise a quick walk to the lake and river which it is but you have to be cautious at the river since your down stream from the dam and they raise the water at anytime apparently and the lake doesn’t have much shore line. All in all I will never camp in another RV Park after this one.

Stupid cancellation policy. Old website. Decided not to stay here based on the restrictive nature and negative tone in their "small print".
