Yes, the spots are a little tight, but I have seen tighter, but everybody that stays here seems to be quite and friendly. We stayed on the "creek side" but not right along the creek and we could still hear the sound of the creek with open windows at night...it was so relaxing.
MANY things are great about staying here: walking distance to downtown, walking distance to the farmers market that is held every weekend, and instant access to the trail that loops around town, as well as Lookout Mountain trail.
Sure, it might not have a pool, but the locations is king here!!! And as I already mentioned that atmosphere is wonderful and quiet.

We have a Creek side back in site so we have a view of the rushing creek. The creek originates in the Rockies at the Continental Divide. You are right in downtown Golden but you wouldn’t know it. Nice little get away that is great for exploring Golden. Lots of hiking trails. Next to The School of Mines.

We were looking for a place to camp close to Denver for a doctor appointment and managed to get a cancellation here. It's like the other reviewers said, the sites are very close and ours was not very level. We did like site #1 because it was next to the trash dumpsters and laundry/restroom building, so at least we had some space on one side.
We thought $43/night was too high for a water/electric site but due to record-setting heat, we knew we needed A/C. Sadly, the voltage dropped significantly many times during the heat of the day so that our EMS shut down the power to the rig. Seems that their power system couldn't keep up with the demands of all the RVs running their A/C. Maybe this wouldn't have happened in another site, and although the people in the office were very nice, there was no other spot to move to.
On a positive note, we loved the location and rode our bikes and walked the trail numerous times. Also, it was just a short walk to the Community Recreation Center, a very nice facility, and just a few blocks to downtown breweries and restaurants.
The restrooms were clean and it was convenient having laundry right there, but if we return to the area we will probably look for another place to stay.

If you want to be in town but also close to hiking and biking trails, this is a great spot. As another reviewer noted, it's not cheap, but you are on the outskirts of a major city so I wouldn't expect anything different. We didn't get a creekside site as they were all reserved by the time we got around making our reservation. But we were perfectly happy with our electric/water side on the back side of the park. They have clean, free showers so not having sewer was not a problem.
The main draw to the park is the walking trail that runs through it. Hop on it and you can walk to town, along the river, or all the way up into the neighborhoods in the hills. The park is not only convenient to Golden, but also to the rest of Denver.

The only sites that are worthwhile are along the creek, hence the price. This is not a resort which is something that you would expect for this price. But for $55/nite you can back your RV into a very tight spot and enjoy the people walking and biking on the bike trail immediately behind your rig.
It is convenient to the City of Golden. But there are nicer places to stay in the neighborhood.
Pay particular attention to there cancellation fees if you choose to stay there. Bottom line this place is priced like a resort, it isn't.
Good luck, and may the force be with you.

We did not use the restroom/shower or laundry at all since we are self contained so I can not comment on them.
We would stay here again for sure, if we could get in, its a high demand park.

We stayed here through the winter months this year and found it to be a great solution to our need. The location couldn't be better! It is within walking distance of great restaurants, the Coors Brewery, the local brewpub, Mountain Toad (a must!).
They offer a monthly rate of $770 October - May, but during peak season your stay is limited to 14 days, at a cost of $40-55/day (non-GS)! The park offers both full hookup and water/electric sites, but all are fairly packed in. There are trees throughout the park, and all sites have picnic table. Prices for the spots on the creek cost more, and are bordered by a walking trail that is constantly crowded with bikers, walkers, climbers etc passing by your campsite :-/. In my opinion, not preferable. People are nice, but constantly looking into your windows...
There is a convenient dump station at the entrance that is free for guests, as well as free showers, and a coin laundry on site.
You can make reservations up to 60 days in advance, and if you plan to go during peak season be sure to book your stay as far in advance as possible. This park is extremely popular and always packed (even in winter).

There is so little room in the RV park that it is common occurrence for vehicles to be shuffled around when a tenant wants to arrive... or leave. The sites have water an electric, but there is only a single shared dump station.
We did not stay in any of the river-front sites, and I am pleased we did not. Not only are they more expensive you are treated to a constant flow of hikers, bikers, kayakers, cyclists, and school field trips walking within a few feet of your RV since you are parked *on* the river trail that is extremely busy, even on weekdays.
Even though I have a negative tone in the previous paragraphs, this park is a prime place to be. The RV park itself is clean, beautifully landscaped, well run, and in a prime location to walk downtown or take a hike along some heavily manicured river-front. The downtown area alone is worth the few extra dollars, then throw in the other sites nearby and you can easily justify the extra spending and tight quarters. If you are into outdoor activities, this is a great hub to them all.
