Check-in was pleasant, and we were given an escort to our site which is always helpful. Nice site with trees and sufficient privacy, equipped with table (small, would only fit 4 adults) and fire ring, along with w/e. We travelled in a camper van so had to use the showers in the bathroom just across the way from us. Probably one of the worst camp bathrooms in terms of structure (no heat, walls open to the outside, weird plumbing), but got the job done. “Accessible” shower stall was not technically accessible since I had to step up 7-8 inches over the concrete lip to get in. No handrails, difficult knobs for adjusting water, no seat in the shower. Spiders and other insects in the shower due to open wall, saw a dead roach looking bug under the sink. Their website shows a picture of a lovely bathroom, but that wasn’t the one near us, perhaps somewhere else near the office? A bit misleading/deceitful advertising? Our site had a sufficient slope so we had to use our leveling blocks, and even then was not quite right (camper vans don’t have automatic levelers). Location is decent in regard to proximity to Halifax.

Our site, C3, was a that was pull thru plenty long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp, water and sewer) were to the left side. The sewer dump was pretty high in our site but still workable. Distancing is not great for a rural park. Most sites had a vegetation privacy barrier. Each site has a table and a fire pit. Our site was a little uneven but not overly bad. We sloped to the left rear but our levelers had no difficulty. Overall the park was clean and quiet but a little rough looking.
The park included wifi worked well for surfing and email. We were informed that streaming is very frowned upon. Their system was not engineered for heavy DL. There is no cable TV but we did find some OTA TV. Satellite might be difficult because of trees. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean. The men main bathroom looked bad only because the glazing on the tiles is lifting badly. The laundromat was clean and the washer driers worked well.
There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be a good base for visiting local attractions. We paid $49.28 inc tax per night and we feel we received fair value. We bugged out earlier than we wanted to because Hurricane Fiona that was bearing down on the area but we will be back if in the area again.

It seems like the seasonal people love it here. But it was our worst camping experience in the last 5 years of camping across the Atlantic provinces. The spots were really bad there isn’t much to do, and the playground has old wood with nails sticking out of it.

We stayed here in September 2019. As mentioned in other reviews this campground is centrally located for visiting Halifax, Indian Harbour, SR111 Crash Memorial, Peggys Cove, SS Atlantic Heritage Park or even to the North to visit Grand Pre, and Ft Edwards. There are potential campgrounds closer to Halifax but they are in an urban setting, Woodhaven is suburban or almost rural. Much more pleasant.
The park itself has plenty of trees and the sites have privacy. Roads were decent and I had no trouble with my 35 foot motorhome. 30/50 amp service available.
We ended up leaving early because of Hurricane Dorian and the owners were very nice about refunding the payment for the remainder of our planned stay.

I planned to catch up on laundry here, but found only cold water washers and red stains on my whites from what I assume is well water (lots of red dirt here in NS). Also, no place to hang clothes as you take them out of the dryer. Otherwise this is a good park for exploring Halifax and central Nova Scotia. They offer 30 and 50 amp pricing. Pull through and back in sites. Trees or no trees sites. Full hook ups or less if you want. They have a pool that was used regularly. They offer good recycling options which I appreciate.
Good place to stay just skip the laundry!
