Silver Creek Campground

We planned to stay in our camper but my husbands dad was put on hospice and my husband was unable to come. I have no clue how to pull a camper (after this, I’m gonna learn!) so I stayed in a tent.
When I pulled up I explained to them what happened and that I wasn’t in a camper and only had a tent. A gentleman asked if I had some kind of plug, and I had no idea what he was talking about and he let me borrow an adapter. I had no clue the plug on the electric box ad different prongs than a regular plug. Thank goodness for their hospitality.
Our site was fairly close to the front- but had plenty of shade for me and my 3 kids to set up the tent (again, something I haven’t done in 13 years!) thankfully tents have evolved since the last time I went camping and it literally look 2 minutes to set it up. The back end of our tent overlooked the creek and there was a little entrance right on our spot.
The Easter activities were great, my kids had such a blast. I had my new rescue dog with me (just got her 2 months ago and didn’t want to leave her crying outside at our campsite so I had to literally bring her everywhere, remember I was supposed to be in my camper, I would’ve left her in there)Everyone was so nice about me having to lug my dog everywhere with me.
My kids had a blast Friday night and with all of The Easter activities on Saturday. They loved it.
When they weren’t attending any of the planned Easter activities, they were playing in the creek or sandpit. My kids had SUCH a great time.
The bathrooms were good, I’ve seen worse, I would shower in these for sure- and use the bathroom.
We are definitely coming back here. It has everything on my camping list that I love about camping. This is such a great hidden gem :)
