Overall Rating
Look at the picture, the lake, the picnic tables, the trees.
We parked into the loop, plenty of space for our trailer and nobody there, everybody stops and stays in the main parking, close to the truck area.
One of the best rest areas we ever found !

Overall Rating
Regular highway rest area with facilities, but with a great lake view and plenty of outdoor picnic tables. Truck parking is overflowing, but there is plenty of space for cars and RVs.

Traveling through the area too late to want to attempt a campground, and only needing a few hours’ rest, we found the car loop provides a second-tier turnout to the right (zoom in on maps) which allows adequate room for a full sized rig to ingress and egress easily, along with parallel parking. Traveling through the area too late to want to attempt a campground, and only needing a few hours’ rest, we found the car loop provides a second-tier turnout to the right (zoom in on maps) which allows adequate room for a full sized rig to ingress and egress easily, along with parallel parking. The ease of access and the ability to get away from the noise of the truck parking area made this a welcome respite. One has to know to, or accidentally, take the car loop to be able to avail themselves of this pullout.
