Perry State Park

We stayed here to empty a storage unit and sort through things as we were downsizing to be on the road full time. Ended up in Eagle Landing part of the park which has many full season spots. We planned on spending a couple days and loved it. Water and Electric at each site as well as a fire pit and two large picnic tables. Flat really wide spots to park and set up. Camp host keeps things really clean and bugs swept up in the bathrooms, park employees and long term campers were really nice, friendly and helpful. Feels like a small community. Clean bathrooms with several stalls and two showers each. Large grassy area in middle of large circle plus grassy shade surround the whole campground. The best part of the whole two weeks is the three tom turkeys who lurk and wander through camp all day checking out everything you have set up. They scratch around like chickens eating birdseed and bugs. And if they see you spotted them they take off at a jog for cover in the trees. Glimpses of the lake from top of the hill and some spaces have wide lake view spots. Will definitely stay here again.

First time camping with our Yorkies (they love big kids not little, anyways). First time at Perry State Park had a great time clean, rangers were very nice, well maintained. Water hookup has a lot of chlorine, so we drank bottle water. Just had a overall great time.
