This is a super cool area that seems to come out of nowhere while driving too it. I think it is fairly popular amidst the locals, as several of our neighbors were local. The shape of this pond is unique and features several small peninsulas that are great for fishing. There are also a lot of great trees for hammocks. The whole area is very well maintained. The site we chose was one of the first ones along the pond on the right when entering the area. It was accessed by a small bridge and technically had 2 sites, as there were 2 firepits. We had both sites to ourselves the entire day until 9pm, when locals arrived and asked if they could set up at the other site, only about 25 yards from us, but we knew this was a risk when we chose the site and overall wouldn't have done anything differently. The pond is not the largest, and although the sites are well spread out around the pond, you can definitely hear if people have kids that are screaming or playing music. It wasn't enough that I would say it was "loud", but definitely alive-feeling. Maybe not the place to stay if you want total quiet, although it was quiet by 10pm. We tent camped, and our site is only accessible for tenting but there are several spots for RV's in other areas. Great experience!

Nice grassy, sunny sites around pond. The water sites were all taken so we found an open clear area in the grass just beyond the pond along the dirt road. Had a fire ring and we were able to get level. Dark and quiet at night and woke to the sound of birds chirping and fresh air. In this spot we had 1 bar AT&T 4g/LTE which would sometimes go to no service.
