We asked for a site in the upper section thinking it would have less highway noise, but it had no shade and it was a hot day (84• in November!) so we went back to the office and asked to be moved to the lower area. The staff had no problem with that and moved us to 51, a 30 amp full h/u pull through in the treed area! Our site was fairly level, some were not. They have 2 dog parks and the larger was great for some ball time. They have 2 laundry rooms with 2 washers/dryers each; $2/wash $2/1hr dry. Back laundry room needed a new floor and didn’t smell good but machines worked fine. We went to the bar and had a couple of beers, chatted with Robin, she made us a frozen pizza and we had a great time. She was the front desk/bartender/waitress/chef and helper to travelers needing to strap down their load. Amazing hospitality and made our stay at this older, roadside park a good one.

We stayed here one night while traveling between Kansas and Texas. Coming from the east, our GPS wanted us to get off of I-40 at exit 53, which would have had us traveling down a narrow stretch of old Route 66 for 3 miles to reach the campground. We opted to take exit 50 instead as instructed in our reservation email, which allowed us to pull into the check-in lanes in front of the office while pointed towards the campground entrance.
The campground has a mix of pull-through and back-in sites. All of the sites in the front half of the campground has asphalt pads, grass lawns, and picnic tables. The short back-in sites on the east side, just beyond the campground entrance, have one or two shade trees, while the pull-through row in the middle of the campground has plenty of them. Our site (site 56) had tall trees on all four corners of the site, and all of them were trimmed high enough that we had no problem getting in and out of the site, and it was level side-to-side. The hookups were reasonably placed, but the sewer opening was not threaded.
The office doesn't have much of a store when compared to other KOAs, but it is attached to an on-site restaurant that serves a variety of simple dishes (such as pizza, burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, and wings). They have 20lbs propane tanks for exchange as well as a propane refill station. There are tables and chairs on the elevated back porch for enjoying your food when the weather is nice that also overlooks the swimming pool area. There is a small simple, playground area on the west end of the campground with a swing set, a merry-go-round, a basketball hood, and a horseshoe pit. There are bathrooms attached to the office building that are secured by an 8-digit code (the longest bathroom code I've ever seen) and there is a separate building in the middle of the campground with a small laundry room.
There are two dog parks. There's a small run next to the playground, and a much larger park on the north end of the campground at the end of a large grassy area. The larger park has some solar-powered lights attached to the fence: they were barely lit during our stay, possibly because it had rained all day.
The Verizon signal pulled in by my Jetpack hotspot with MIMO antenna showed 4 bars, but the download bandwidth was terrible during the day and throughout the early evening, likely because local smartphone traffic was prioritized over mine. Before 7am on the day we left, when I guess no one else was using the network, I got 18 Mbps down and 25 up. In contrast, the speed test I ran on my 5G AT&T smartphone showed 84 Mbps down and 8 up and was consistent throughout our stay. I tried the campground WiFi and got 3 Mbps down and 1 up.
We would stay here again if we were passing through.

We had a decent site on the end of the road. Lots were well spaced out. Right on historic route 66. Took a picture in the road with our kids. Good for a stop-over.

The staff did not do anything about people letting their dogs run off-leash all day through the campground, including approaching and jumping on leashed dogs aggressively. When we let them know, they just said “they’re leaving soon.” I wouldn’t be back for that reason.

I was a little worried about the other patrons in the long term sites... they didn't give a good vibe as we pulled in... but there's a long term site section and daily/weekly section, which included a better laundry and shower. Bar/restaurant was really good, kid loved his pizza. Wife and I enjoyed the beer, nachos, and burger.
Playground was dated, but kid enjoyed burning off steam. Pool was closed, but looked nice.

Spot 46 was shaded, a little space between spots, but the park could use a little upkeep. It is a little more remote so the bar could be handy for those that may need food. We did not utilize it, but our friends that have stayed here multiple times have enjoyed the wood fired oven cooked food. It was very buggy, so didn't adventure out much on our overnight. The wifi was just ok, but not strong enough to stream. If we were coming this way and it was in our path of places to stop, we would use it for an overnight again.

We arrived after hours and they had our reservations/ map of where to go near the front door of the entrance. We left early in the morning prior to sunrise. From the limited amount of time I was there, it served the purpose I needed.

She said she would ask the manager. Never got back to me. I left, I didn't feel safe. They also allow dogs to room without leashes. Scary place.

No room on site for a 38ft class A towing had to convert to a 30AMP which wouldn’t been a problem if it would work correctly could only run 1 A/C and it kept tripping the breaker. No WIFI. Be prepared to run your generator. However, staff was very friendly.

Zip, zero, zilch hot water in the women's bathroom. It was a clean facility but I'd rather have a hot shower than a clean cold shower.
