The pad is a chipped rock surface, very level with a concrete pad for the picnic table. Nicely spaced from adjoining pad and with FHU. The park is located between the Chattahoochee River and Ft. Moore on S. Lumpkin Rd, a dead-end street with virtually no traffic, so there is no road noise. Across Lumpkin is the south extension of the Columbus River Trail, with the nearest entrance about 1/4 mile N of the park, across Lumpkin from the National Infantry Museum. I biked there and then continued up the paved trail about 6 miles to visit the National Civil War Naval Museum. From there a short ride will get you to downtown Columbus. The Wifi connection was good and the Verizon signal was sizzling!

We stayed here for 3 nights & really enjoyed our stay. Gravel spots with a concrete pad for the picnic table. New bathrooms & showers. There is a very nice paved walking/running/biking path that joins the Columbus Riverwalk. We will definitely stay here again.

This was not a place I would want to stay at. No trees , no beauty ,just a place to park our RV for the night.
Not in the best area . We followed GPS to get to campsite not the best idea.
Sent though a neighborhood and we didn’t need to. Didn’t give a great impression seeing old mattresses and trash on roads leading into park..
Again ok for the night but not a resort

We lived here for one month in mid 2021. If easy access to Fort Benning is your main goal of full time RV living, then Camp David is perfect! As of July 2021, the following are not available on site: laundry, bath house, pet station (waste pick-up stations, wash), trees for site shade, WiFi, cable, children entertainment (swimming pool, playground, etc). We found approximately 30 pieces of broken glass at our site, during our stay.
There is pond/lake water access on the property that is very accessible. We did notice other people fishing there that were not camping on site. Also, one late Friday night (non-holiday weekend) around 11 P.M., there were very loud fireworks that seemed to be coming from the pond.
Electric is included in the monthly price up to a certain usage. Storage totes and other items are not allowed under your RV (see attached photo). Since sites are so close together with no division, privacy has no place here.
Pros: Proximity to Ft. Benning, River walk access (Chattahoochee River), on-site fishing
Cons: Lack of shade, black/grey waste deposit too high (anti-gravity flow), no WiFi/cable, no amenities
P.S. check the current local news for Columbus for safety considerations
