Perfect location if you’re just passing through like we were. If we are ever in this area again we will definitely stay here. Sites are a generous size with plenty of space between them. Well kept grounds and clean facilities. Looked like lots of activities to keep kiddos happy. Friendly staff.

I feel a bit duped by previous reviews. This campground is literally located in a freeway cloverleaf. It couldn’t be louder. There seemed to be quite a few full timers. It was extremely expensive at $71 a night. Ugh. Bad choice.

We had planned to visit with my family in the area. We had planned on visiting the following week, but my mother became worse and we needed to come immediately. My husband called and the manager said to come on and she will find a space. We arrived and were able to see my mom before she died. The manager refunded the extra day and cancelled the week following (that we had originally planned to come). We really liked the campground. It was super close to the interstate, but the noise was like white noise, not loud. They have some sort of an activity pass and during the evening, kids were having fun with a little train, bikes, slip and slide, and other fun things. If you are worried that activity would make noise so you can’t sleep, nope, it was all put away by a reasonable hour. There were pull through for remaining hitched, and back in. There are lots of sites. Highly recommend!

It was a bustling campground with lots of families, campfires, and pets…a little too busy for us! What we did appreciate about Camp A Way was the easy access and check in process , simple navigation of the park and hook ups, and it being well maintained. Would definitely stay again for a quick overnight:)

Super nice staff, well organized family activities and a large field for dog play and disc golf. It didn't feel hectic or intrusive because it was so well managed and the location is so nice. VERY little highway noise and less than 5 minutes to downtown. Great place to stay!!

“Nice Shady Spots, Easy Access!”

Just off I-80 quick and easy check in and nice spots. After a long windy day on I-80 we pulled right in and set up in a few minutes. Very nice spot, shady and level didn’t even have to unhook. There is a wonderful Mexican restaurant just a few blocks away.

We got a call about 100 miles out asking us how soon we would arrive. They explained that when this park was built (over 50 years ago!) things were done differently. Seems our site is often used as a shortcut to bring rigs to their sites. What had we gotten ourselves into? Turned out to be one of their best sites (B5) in a gorgeous park. It was wonderfully peaceful (especially since it was a weekend) but anyplace that has a water balloon machine is probably crazy during the summer. There’s lots here for kids to do! I was also told that weekends when the local college has games, alumni love it here. The sewer dump was elevated, requiring an elaborate piece of sewer hose engineering to overcome some basic physics. Internet bandwidth is limited but it was more than adequate for emails, etc. We had a wonderful experience here but I’m sure glad we visited during a calmer time & got one of their best sites!

The staff was friendly, aside from the few times I asked for any amount of quarters other than a full roll, it seemed like they were inconvenienced, having to go all the way to the back room to make change. That issue probably can be easily solved by putting a quarter machine in the laundry room. Would definitely stay again!

In our case, we simply needed a convenient base from which to explore Lincoln, and this fit the bill. It also has lots of trees, although it is a bit crowded. They have a pool and a sauna. I can’t speak to cleanliness because I didn’t use public facilities. Some might find it noisy since it is adjacent to the highway. We were fine with it.
