We made our reservations via the website. Stephanie caught that we were in a smaller rig and gave us the opportunity to adjust the reservation to a better site than a 50 amp site. We made our reservations via the website. Stephanie caught that we were in a smaller rig and gave us the opportunity to adjust the reservation to a better site than a 50 amp site. The grounds are pristine and cared for as if it is their own home. Laundry and baths are impeccably clean. The showers have been enlarged from the typical narrow KOA size plus rain head showers! The camp store is well stocked even at the end of the season. Unlike many of the SD campgrounds, this one is staying open through October instead of closing the first or middle of October. It is convenient to the sweet town of Mitchell where everyone we met were soooo very friendly. If we’re ever through this way again, we’ll stay here! Don’t know how other reviews were disturbed by “road noise”. They obviously camp in forests. This town is quiet and does have some traffic noise, but the camp sites are well shaded and off the road which reduces the sounds to a muffle.

This campground is emaculatly maintained with a large playground and mini golf for the kids. The owners here clearly take great pride in their business and it shows. We used this as just a place to sleep on our travels, but if you are in the area and considering options, look no further!

Two night stay on the way to Glacier after long day driving. Incredible staff!!! Very helpful and friendly and obviously take pride in their campground. Most spots shaded with huge trees. All sites are pull through. Gravel but level pads and good hook-ups. Cleanest and nicest bathrooms and showers I have seen since I have been camping.... more

All sites are pull through. Gravel but level pads and good hook-ups. Cleanest and nicest bathrooms and showers I have seen since I have been camping. Very nice laundry open 24 hours. $2 wash, 0.25 per 6 minutes to dry. Pool was not available was only drawback and fairly close to highway 38 but far enough away from I-90 as to not be able to hear it. Not sure if pool is being repaired or not, but empty. Great children's playground. Great Wi-Fi. Most people only stay one night. Plenty of open spots in late July.

We stayed here just one night but wished we could have stayed longer. The owners are super friendly and the entire staff is attentive to your needs. The store has the basics you need if you run out of something and Mitchell is right down the road. Quiet and away from the interstate. Most campsites have trees (which I didn't expect for SD) and sites were fairly level. We loved it so much we are planning to return next year and stay for a few days to explore the area. Highly recommend staying here!

We stayed here for one night on our way though to Badlands. It is a nice, quiet very family friendly campground in a pretty countryside setting, just a few miles outside of town. The hosts/owners were so kind and accommodating. The playground was our sons favorite of our big road trip so far!

Great little KOA not on the highway. Great layout making it easy to get in and out. We’ve stayed at a lot of KOA’s and this is one of the nicer ones out there. Friendly staff too!

Nice park, reasonable rates. Staff is super accommodating. Moved us on 4th of July wknd because wife didn’t want to be near pool. Typical KOA lots of kids and noise. But nice shady sites with plenty of room.
