Is this park big enough for a 32’ trailer and truck combo? Is there a good turn around for a rig if the place is full?

Overall Rating

Good free place to camp for a night driving down Alaska highway. Long dirt road, muddy a couple of potholes but totally manageable.

It has a lot of bugs and small lake. Wouldn't run back here for a vacation but a good place for an overnight stay

A decent basic campground with a large group shelter overlooking the lake The first 3 miles one travels on a very well maintained dirt/gravel road used by the oil and gas industry to maintain numerous wells Unfortunately the access to the. campground is nearly impossible for all but high clearance vehicles. This is a very nice campground to stop for the night to rest from driving without having to pay for the same quality you’d get at any other campground. I arrived at 4pm on a Friday and only saw the rangers coming to check the bathrooms. They warned me that there’s lots of bears come through to access the lake but I never encountered ... more

Overall Rating

Stopped here on our way heading north on the Alaska Highway. Nice little spot for a night. The place was fairly full, but we were able to park our little campervan no problem.

Outhouse toilets and the lake is just down the hill.
