Spending the night as we make our way out to Wallowa Lake State Park, OR. More than happy to have driven 11 miles off the highway to get here. Last 4 miles were dirt but in better shape than the highway from Craters of the Moon to Carey were.

We have stayed here at least a dozen times now. We love the woods and lake views and how peaceful it is here. We usually stay overnight in our travels from Florida to Texas. Roads may be rough but we like the privacy of this park.
This very small park, 7 sites, is located just outside of Athol, just north of Coeur d’Alene. Sites 3-7 are all full-hookup. Sites 1 & 2 are electric with a shared water hookup. Sites & road are gravel & decent size. The park is down the road from the highway so road noise is very minimal. A medium size trash can is located near each site....
Campground is located on the north side of Bonners Ferry & far enough off the main highway that noise is minimal for the most part.
Our site, #1, is accessed off the street & you are literally in your site once you pull of the street. Sites are surrounded by trees & various bushes. Grass is maintained but all the other vegetation could use...
