Got here around 6 in the evening and selected site 19. This site easily accommodated our 22 foot van. Park could use some maintenance but not bad. Bathrooms were clean and heated. Some of the Fire rings had not been cleaned in awhile. Overall we liked it and will stay again if passing thru this area.

Until Friday afternoon we shared the upper loop (sites 13-22) with just one other camper. Even with a full campground on Friday and Saturday, the sites are well-spaced so we didn't feel crowded. As you're planning a trip keep in mind that all the sites are first come, first served. There are several hikes through the national forest, with an easily accessible one around the Clear Springs lake. The sites have water and electricity with a dump station on the way out of the park.
The camp host, Virginia, is a joy to chat with and keeps things clean.

Awesome campground beautiful peaceful quiet location. Clean bathrooms with hot showers. Felt very safe, ranger rode through frequently. Ms. Virginia, Campground host was awesome! We were in campsite 17 in a class c motorhome. Did take a little while to get it level but I have to do mine manually. AT&T cell service sketchy. I had to walk up the hill towards the trash cans and bathroom to get a signal. Beautiful location and great trails.

We arrived here after an 8-hour drive from Georgia. (Our GPS couldn't find the campsite. We had to rely on Google maps, but there was a sign when we got to the turnoff.) We had site #4 which was very level. The light from the bathroom or/picnic pavilion was too harsh at night and very bright. Also, the past campers didn't leave a clean campsite. Those 2 reasons are the only reason I didn't give this campground a 5 star. Most of the firepits had unburned trash, including styrofoam, in the firepit.
