Long road in can be very tight in some areas. It said maximum 25’ vehicle length. Had no cell reception for Verizon or ATT.
If you want to get away from everything very nice little get away

Stayed here overnight en route to Sedona. About 5-10 miles on a well maintained dirt road. We were the only people there on a Tuesday night. Lots of sites, we chose the one farthest back and next to the river. Even got a visit from the friendly local horses. Clean pit toilets

Camping is free but you must display a Tonto Pass on your rear view mirror since the campground is in Tonto National Forest. The pass is available at many convenient stores in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.
Great hiking trail nearby (Cave Creek Trail #4).
Plenty of unmaintained roads to go off-roading on.
