Felt very safe and comfortable spending the night here. It’s a bit noisy being right next to the highway but it didn’t keep us up. There’s trash and bathrooms. Felt very safe and comfortable spending the night here. It’s a bit noisy being right next to the highway but it didn’t keep us up. There’s trash and bathrooms. The visitor center has some interesting displays and a 4 1/2 minute movie to learn a little about the Atchafalaya culture. About 6 others staying here. The truck side looked full as well.

We parked here for an overnight rest stop. The early evening was a bit noisy with the highway traffic passing bye. However, later throughout the night it settled down. There are about 10-12 RV spots. Visitor center was closed when we arrived. Restrooms were decent. Water from the tap not so much. Soda vending machines near the restrooms. Very close to interstate so the traffic noise is high. Free place to overnight. I did call ahead to verify before we stopped.

Raining Cats And Dogs. Stopped At 1615 and Lots Of Others Probably Also tired Of driving In The rain. Stayed Inside But Looked Very Nice. Clean. Lots Of Traffic Noise. Great Spot To Grab A Night’s Sleep And Get Back On The Road.

Clean and safe parking area for RVs separate from autos making it easy for me to run my generator guilt free. I was the only RV that night, and enjoyed the free wifi right in my TT. Great overnight stay right off the i10.

Stayed here last night after confirming with staff that it was acceptable. About a dozen RV spots that are pretty wide. We have a 37 foot class A towing a Honda CRV and just fit in the site. Stayed here last night after confirming with staff that it was acceptable. About a dozen RV spots that are pretty wide. We have a 37 foot class A towing a Honda CRV and just fit in the site. Separate area for cars, semi trucks, and RVs. Security guard was working from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. For being next to I-10 in a welcome center/rest area it was pretty quiet. We slept with our bedroom window open.

We pulled in about 8pm and we’re the only RV. By morning there were several others but we hadn’t heard them come in. A huge win of this location is the trucks are directed away from the RV parking so you don’t have to hear the trucks all night. A second win was free WiFi access. A huge win of this location is the trucks are directed away from the RV parking so you don’t have to hear the trucks all night. A second win was free WiFi access. Beyond this the lot is paved and level with some nice trees and grass around.
There was a little more road noise than we originally expected in the night but compared to a standard rest stop it was very much better

We arrived just before sunset. We were pleasantly surprised how big this placed seemed. Semi's go one way and car's, busses and rv's go the other way. We saw security right away. That felt good to see. After finding a spot and settling in, we thought we would enjoy the sunset outside. Nope. The mosquitoes had other plans. Inside we went!

Nice clean rest area right off I-10. South parking lot is designated for RVs boondocking with long spaces and lighting. Staff at the Welcome Center are very friendly and assured us overnight parking is ok. Restrooms open 24hrs. There were about 10 other rvs staying overnight. We felt safe.
