It is not set up like a lot of rv parks with all the rvs lined up in a row. Some are sort of staggered, or around a cul-de-sac. Almost all the sites are quite spacious so sitting outside is inviting. The setting of the campground is peaceful among the tall timbers.
If it were cooler, I would be so tempted to go to the primitive sites in the back. Large open space, but surrounded with trees and just a little ways from the creek.
The only "con' is the lack of adequate wi fi, but in a setting like this, it is nice to disconnect for awhile. It works pretty well in the morning, but then as more and more people get on line, it becomes non usable, except at the office. The office is in a large room attached to the square dance hall. Watching the people square dance was fun.

Really enjoyed our stay at Dance Center and Campground. Super well maintained cg. Everyone working here was very friendly and informative. If you can go without hookups, stay in the primitive sites right along the Lolo river. Absolutely wonderful spot in the back of the property. Restrooms are closed because of covid, so cannot comment on them. We fished a lot in the Lolo river which is accessible from campground, and caught many small trout. River is also good for swimming in...water is a little chilly. Beautiful area overall. checkout The Jack Saloon, only 15 minutes away, for a great burger. Only reason I did not give this place a 5-star is because the wifi was really sporadic. Off more than it is available. And a little bit of traffic noise due to being located right on Hwy 12. But overall we really enjoyed it here and extended our stay for one extra night.

We needed a refuge from the July heat and thankfully they had one site available with power and water. This is a great little campground with plenty of tall pines for shade. Bobby was super friendly, and accommodating! And Gary took the extra time to run a cable line to our site, even though we told him multiple times we’d be okay without it. They definitely want to make sure you enjoy your stay, and I appreciate all the precautions in place because of the pandemic.

I loved trees and shade. Campground was diet and gravel. It was good for a night. It was out of the way a bit, but we loved being in the mountains. Only 15 minutes from Missoula.

Not all sites are full hookups. There’s cell service with Verizon near the gate but you’ll lose it pretty quickly the further into the park you go.

Verizon was voice only, and the campground wifi was almost worthless. Each antenna had 2.4 and 5 GHz channels, which they mistakenly called 2G and 5G. The closest antenna was right by my trailer, and my phone showed a strong signal, but the 5 GHz channel would keep disconnecting, or sometimes would stay connected with no internet signal. The 2.4 GHz channel would connect but had no internet. I could also connect to the office 2.4 GHz channel, but that had no internet signal either.
Site 12 backed towards the road, which was a good way off through the trees, but the highway noise was still significant.
This was a good location for Lolo Pass and Traveler's rest, and only a few minutes drive from Missoula.

Price reflects 50 amp electric and water hook-up site with their ‘pay for 6, get 7th free’ deal. We had a lovely site near the back with a large green space that was part of the whiffle golf course, and only 1 group played the time we were there. Very friendly, helpful folks checked us in and offered us suggestions on things to do in the area. Rules are enforced, such as quiet times, barking dogs, etc. We are not dancers but we might have to start! They also have one of the largest square dance apparel stores that I have ever seen!
We biked parts of the Bitterroot Trail that runs from Missoula south to Hamilton. (Be sure to stop in for pie at Glen’s Cafe in Florence!) Showers and bathrooms are a little old but clean.
Wi-fi was pretty good, better than at many parks. We are able to stream with our own AT&T network. Verizon was poor. We’d be glad to stay here again.
