There are kids that are loud and blare music all night, there are people that let their generators run all night, and there are people that let their dogs run free unleashed. There is also a good amount of dust. It’s a great spot, but please remember to be respectful of other people’s space and night time hours. Cell phone and internet is spotty. The more people around, the less the coverage works. There are also a lot of ATV’s in the area.

This BLM location is the best I've been to, the location is perfect for visiting Canyonlands and Arches National Parks and not very far from the town of Moab. The road is gravel but in excellent condition. There are circles where up to a dozen campsites can be close, or so many areas where there are single sites. I chose a pull-off close to the main road and met several campers and became friends. Even in the rain this location doesn't wash out; the red dust is pretty bad though, especially on windy days. Check Google Maps, this spot goes very far back and can easily house more than 100 RVs or tents.

Easy to find , easy to drive our 36’ rig and locate a site. Busy campsite but quiet with RV and tents. Just know it can get a little dusty but we were not too bothered. Interesting views.

Views are amazing. Many many people are driving way too fast up and down the road. Scary if you are walking-not to mention the dust! Mostly ATVS, pick ups and motorcycles. Only about 6 miles from Arches Nat’l Park.

Also, be prepared for some 'extreme jacking' (as we call it) as it seems very few sites are actually nice and level. The drive off the main road and into your chosen site may be very very bumpy!
That said... Free camping within 15min of downtown Moab and quick access to multiple NP's, with clear views of the La Sal mountains and Arches NP... You definitely cannot go wrong!

After pulling into dalton wells and not wanting to risk going past the sandy wash, I turned around to head to willow springs. The loose sand at dalton wells looked to be too risky for our huge rig. At willow springs the road in was bumpy but manageable. There were tents everywhere from mountain bikers out riding during the day and crashing there at night. We found a smaller spot but took it due to lack of other spaces. Keep in mind it was Jeep safari 2019 while we were there, and wow off-roaders of all types were everywhere. Aside from the traffic in and out of this spot during the day it is surrounded by thousands of biking and hiking trails, and perfectly located near Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. We filled our water tanks at a truck stop west on 70, and the sporting goods store in town has free filtered water for any jugs you bring in. They also have friendly workers and any outdoor product or accessories you may need.

I had read and reread all the reviews written about this place. And then read them again. Read those reviews, people had good things to say.
About 1.4 miles down Willow Springs road you will see the sign for Dinasauor Tracks. Willow Springs Road continues to the left, there is no camping past this point.
Straight ahead is a loop road (actually it is part of the Sovereign Trail System until you reach the outcropping of rocks) The loop continues around and comes out there on your right.
I suggest you STOP here, there is a larger flat camping area here, and walk this “loop. About half way down to the permanent outhouse there were serious ruts, muddy and deep. We saw many try to go through this area, some unsuccessfully. Also there were some serious ruts near the rocks and then again at the end of this loop.
We would probably not camp along the 1.4 mile dusty road, even though it’s free. Spaces are not all that level.
We were there for 4 nights, coming in on a Saturday. We were lucky to find a spot (a nice one, the 3rd roped off area on the loop before the permanent outhouse), it felt like a campground after boondocking in privacy the week before.
After 4 days you scout the place out. Next time we will check out the unnamed road to the right about 0.7 miles from the highway up to a relatively flat mesa, there is even some shade. The entrance did look a bit tricky due to ruts, but they were dry and there were some great spots back there.
Now go read those other reviews!
