We stayed here for 2 nights in May in our 20 feet travel trailer. No cell phone service or internet. Very close to the trailheads. Bell Canyon was crowded on Saturday, but Ding Dang had no people in the afternoon.

Got here about 1030 on a Friday, I think about 90% of the spots were already taken. We’ve been on the road for the last 3 weeks and have been used to nice isolated dispersed camping locations. Based on the reviews, we were very excited to get here. The views are in fact beautiful, but if you want isolation or quiet, this is NOT the place for you. Maybe it was just so busy because it was a weekend, but it seems to be a very populated location, so I am unsure.
Here are my observations:
There are lots of designated camping spots, some have decent privacy, others are nearly on top of each other. However, once the designated spots fill up, people just start making their own spot’s everywhere, even if they are not designated spaces, so be prepared to have someone camp right next to you, even if there is no designated camping site.
Many camping sites had 3,4,5,6 cars and campers and entire parties of 10+ people at them. Maybe this was due to the weekend and people getting together to enjoy the outdoors, but be prepared to be next to very large parties of people with loud music and lots of generators.
This is evidently a very popular place for people to bring their off road vehicles. Throughout the entire time we were here, there were people constantly riding their dirt bikes, go carts, dune buggies, etc all up and down the roads. So, be prepared for that if you come out.
Lots of off leash dogs. While here, we had campers on both sides of us with off leash dogs and one person that was mountain biking back and forth with his two dogs off leash running behind him. Be prepared to have to deal with that if it’s something that you worry about.
Seems to be a very nice spot for large parties that enjoy lots of off roading and don’t mind a campground environment with slightly further apart campsites. If you enjoy more isolated boondocking, then I wouldn’t recommend this location.

We have been traveling Utah on a couple month vacation, stayed at several 5 star dispersed camping areas, all nice but this is by far our favorite, I think we had the best spot but since most spots are by the bottom of the cliffs, I assume most think they had the best spot.

This area is now owned by the Utah DNR, not the BLM. Still same rules - first come, no fee. Beautiful views in every direction. Spots are numbered and very far apart. No noise from anywhere. We were in 20. Only complaint is that the road to the spots is rough and could use some grading. But we had no issues with our 22’ camper.

We met up with some friends and stayed here for a few days. It's easy to find a spot as it's big and can handle a lot of campers while still feeling uncrowded. The dirt roads that take you to the individual sites are rough, however a slow and steady pull will get you to your site without any trouble.

It was high clearance situation, some 4wd paths, main path from where the rest branch was atrocioys too, I could not get dar, and if it rains, good luck. Basically taking chances abusing the motorhome. Also, area was very crowded with people, most sites taken mid day on Sunday. I just camped not too far from there for days without seeing a soul, this place is iverrun. After I made it to one of the spots, with great difficulty, I found it was covered with toilet paper. Plus someone could potentially setup nearby Decided the area isn't worth it, drive away and found a spot nearby with easy access and no people in sight.

On state owned land. Designated sites with no fee or services. It was windy when we arrived and the dirt is a fine dust making it a dust storm and not very pleasant. The wind calmed by sunset and it was quite lovely then. After leaving the main road it was a little rough but very doable with our 25' TT. No AT&T or T-Mobile service.
