We stayed here once about 20 years ago, when they had pet chickens that would come to the RV door and hit you up for snacks. Chickens are still here, but have their own FHU pen. We stayed here once about 20 years ago, when they had pet chickens that would come to the RV door and hit you up for snacks. Chickens are still here, but have their own FHU pen.
These people are super friendly. Level gravel sites, virtually all pull-through. Free WiFi, pool, strong water pressure, hip-high faucets. About a 90 second drive off I-57, but quiet and shady throughout. Good Sam discount, major tv networks available over-the-air.
Do yourself a favor and stop here when you can.

Overall Rating
Overnight stay on a longer trip, easy to find. Far enough from the interstate to minimize road noise all night. Lots of large trees everywhere, large spaces, a few full timers. Pleasant little shop at the entrance. Bet it’s pretty busy/crowded in the summer. Plan to stay here again on future trips through.

Nice level sites. Lots of trees. Very pretty and quiet campground. Nice small camp store and clean bathrooms/shower house. Fenced dog park. We will definitely stay here again.

We love these types of campgrounds - spacious between sites. It was fairly empty throughout the week so we felt like we were the only ones there. Lots of trees (though barren this time of year). Layout a bit confusing. Site numbers hard to see so make sure to arrive before nighttime. We had a large back in with neighbor only on one side. Cash or check preferred. Sells firewood and large selection of pickled goods at office. SI Pho/Sushi and Walmart close by. AAA discount. Fast response via phone through contact form / no online booking.

“Great campground ”

Very clean, the showers and restrooms are spotless. Some of the sites can be small. Fires on in rings on gravel. The owners live on the property and are the nicest people. Propane available.

Wish we could have stayed longer. But we just needed a one night stay on our drive home. Nice level sites, easy check in. Pool looked nice.

I wish we had more time to spend there. Sites were level, all concrete and beautifully decorated. Bath house, sites and grounds were very clean and well kept.

Overall Rating
Lovely woodsy RV park. You get the feel that you in a forest. Sites are level & large and hard packed. It's in the Lake Rend area and easily accessible from the highway. We enjoyed it so much we're going to stop there again on our return trip.
