This campsite is right off General Hey, in between Longs Canyon and Sewuoia National Park z . it has secured dumpsters and toilets , the sites are huge and beautiful. The road is paved and of course it is free. What else one can ask for?

This dispersed camping is a super convenient area because of how close it is to two national parks. However, I would avoid coming here on weekends. This dispersed camping is a super convenient area because of how close it is to two national parks. However, I would avoid coming here on weekends. It may be in part that I’m here over Memorial Day weekend, but it is not quiet whatsoever. People screaming, breaking trees, and camping in places that aren’t meant to be camped in were a common occurrence. This place is probably awesome on weekdays but I would avoid it on weekends and national holidays.

Great free place to stay with access to Sequoia and Kings Canyon NP. Would recommend! Plenty of spots along the long road. It’s mid-October so most campgrounds are closed for the season and most of Kings Canyon is closed but plenty to see still. They are doing controlled fires and a ranger told us they will be doing them in big meadows... more
Great free place to stay with access to Sequoia and Kings Canyon NP. Would recommend! Plenty of spots along the long road. It’s mid-October so most campgrounds are closed for the season and most of Kings Canyon is closed but plenty to see still. They are doing controlled fires and a ranger told us they will be doing them in big meadows soon, so look it up before you go if you’re still coming in 2023.
We’ll miss this serene, beautiful spot in the woods.
I have Verizon and there is NO service here fyi.

Great spot for dispersed camping. Plenty of spots for big rigs. Paved road. Easy access to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Lots of forest roads to explore. Pit toilets at picnic area close to road entrance. Road gets a little busier on weekends but nothing crazy. We stayed a week and would definitely camp here again.

Good location and easy to access. Plenty of spots to stay. No cell service at all unless you sit by the dumpsters. Do not expect service beyond that point.

One of our favorite spots ever! The road in is paved and there's plenty of spots to camp. We even had 3 bars of Verizon service in some of the spots near the entrance. There's also dumpsters and even a well maintained pit toilet. Overall a great area right near Sequoia and Kings Canyon NP!

Very nice stay with a good size site for my 30ft trailer although not all sites were trailer friendly and moving around to position your trailer or RV could be challenging. Some sites are really tent only. No cell reception on either ATT or Verizon. Trees provided enough shade with sun availability to charge the battery. Nice jump... more

Some sites are really tent only. No cell reception on either ATT or Verizon. Trees provided enough shade with sun availability to charge the battery. Nice jump off location to visit the NP. All their campgrounds were closed. Some nice dispersed sites around too. Would come back again

This campground is amazing, it’s free, has big sites, beautiful scenery, it’s very quiet and it’s in the middle of both Kong’s canyon NP, and sequoia NP. Only downfall of this campground is the mosquitos, but I’m sure during this time of year when we stayed (end of June) there are mosquitos all over the mountain areas. Some sites have ... more
This campground is amazing, it’s free, has big sites, beautiful scenery, it’s very quiet and it’s in the middle of both Kong’s canyon NP, and sequoia NP. Only downfall of this campground is the mosquitos, but I’m sure during this time of year when we stayed (end of June) there are mosquitos all over the mountain areas. Some sites have creeks flowing through, some have amazing views, and some are buried in the trees with a lot of privacy

This site had beautiful mountain views! Some sites had a picnic table and fire ring. Close to the north end of Sequoia and the entrance to King's Canyon. Easy to find with lots of spots available. My kids had fun hunting for lizards on the rocks. Probably the most beautiful campsite I've stayed at!
