Quiet, level campsites, family and pet friendly, wonderful heated pool (open longer than other seasonal campgrounds), nice activities balanced between kids and adults. Always clean, lots of attention to landscaping (watched them rake the putt putt course each week). Pickle ball courts and multiple bathhouses and laundry facilities, a gym, billiard room. All updated and super clean. Cottages are available to rent. Office store has just the right gear you might need (drinks, no food for sale). For full timers, mail and FedEx packages are accepted. Loved the location, down near the river (low water levels, so not much wading, and only a few cottages have water views, the campsites are along the river edge, but water is far away hidden by trees), but the entire campground is lined with tree's and away from the highway noise that is so prevalent to campgrounds in this area. Groceries, gas, fast food and hardware store within 5 minute drive to town of Camp Verde. Walmart, Home Depot and restaurants about 15 minutes away in Cottonwood - which also has a cute downtown area. For hiking, lots of trails close by in Cottonwood and Sedona (30 minutes away). Prescott is 45 minutes away and Flagstaff about 1 hour. Phoenix is 1.5 hours. Amazed at the freebies or very low cost food offered to campers (waffle breakfast, weekly crock pot surprise in the winters, weekly hotdogs and burgers). Craft fair inside the recreation building once a month with different food trucks in the parking lot. Monthly prices vary depending on site. Sites vary on amount of shade, some have no shade at all. Summers can be very hot - unless you have shade. Sites are generally large and level. Even at a sold out Labor Day weekend, the campground did not feel cramped or overcrowded. I have stayed at sites 101, 405 and 106 - all were partially or totally shaded and worked well for a full timers respite. Many places to sightsee nearby including the town of Jerome and its state park. One of my favorite places to stay for a month or two. I understand WiFi is not terrific, but I have Starlink - so not an issue for me. And the Dog Parks! Nice large, clean, shaded - one of them with a beautiful wall of sunflowers.

Large park with gravel pads. Many long stay campers. Sites vary in size, shade and appeared to all be level.
Mini golf, pool, tennis, etc as amenities. Great $5 breakfast on Sundays in the clubhouse. Entertainment on Saturdays. Full hookup sites. Laundry, shower and camp store. Many Halloween activities while we were there. Good WiFi.

Very welcoming person that check us in which filled us in on all the amenities the rv park offers. Very well run and clean. We were both happy that it was a quiet location. It flat gravel sites as well as shaded sites. We'll stay here again.

Best spot for PETS.
Safest spot for short and long term stays.
Friendly, helpful, efficient staff that maintains the grounds well.
I've been staying here now since September of 2020. My experience here has been as positive as you could expect from a real-estate/property management firm.
The grounds are well kept, on a consistent schedule. The pool, cabana, and hot tub/spa areas as seen in the photo are very clean, well decorated, and maintained. Nice grills for partying, eating food with friends, etc.
There is a well kept kids playground as well, a dedicated dog park, in case you don't want to use the whole property, or prefer off leash. There are pickle ball courts, and a basketball court for use, as well as an INCREDIBLE club house. Inside are billiards, a massive projector, and the usual full public kitchen setup.
Dog stations and poop bags are kept filled here better than any other location I've stayed at in the last 20 years. The park takes their pet sanitation very seriously.
The direct staff all essentially double as security for the property, observing, reporting, and making sure everyone is staying respectful of people and policies on the property. The staff up front is always very helpful and they HANDLE MAIL well which is becoming more and more important and valuable.

We enjoyed our stay at this RV park. We stayed in the forest area site # 415 and my parents stayed in the 2 bedroom dog allowed cabin # 120. The river trails were easy to walk on if you turned left on the trail. If you went straight you had to walk on river rock which were a little harder. People didn't pick up their dogs poop on the trails which is a shame. I was very happy we paid extra for the forest spot since it was nice and shaded and we were there for a few days. There is a mini golf course, basketball course, and a dog run there. The only downside was there was only 1 trash dumpster and it was all the way at the front entrance. There are lot of places with dog poop bags throughout the park for dogs to go but here are thorns walking around the park so be careful. I would suggest the forest area which is back further near the river. The cabins were well cleaned and the two bedroom seemed nice and roomy. One room has bunkbeds (total of 4 beds in one room) and a master bedroom. They spaced them out where they are not side by side so you didn't feel like you were looking right at your neighbor when sitting on the patio. We camped at Verde River RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

We stayed for a month in October. They offered various Halloween activities on the weekends, and there are lots of kids. The pool area looked nice and clean. We had fun playing putt putt but we had to clean tree debris from the course before playing. To make a reservation, it was very difficult to get in touch with someone by phone so persistence and patience is key. Once there, the staff was friendly and check-in was quick and easy. In front of the office are some flowers and green, green fake grass. Pretty much the only place you’ll see green. They have a security gate but for the life of me I don’t know why. Once you pass through the gate the road is very rough and bumpy. There is a bit of green once you pass through the gate but when you get in the park it is tall weeds with small bits of grass interspersed. It appears disheveled. We never once heard or saw a lawn mower or weed eater. There are an excessive number of speed bumps and 5 mph signs all over the place. Sites are a bit of gravel with dirt, weeds and STICKERS. The tiny gravel and stickers end up everywhere. We couldn’t walk from the car to the RV without picking stickers out of our shoes. Your vehicles with get dirty and remain dirty which gets even worse when it rains. Our site was mostly level and long enough for the 45 foot MH with the car parked to the side. The voltage often dropped to around 114/115. Spacing between sites varies widely with the pull thrus having the most space. There is no privacy. We were in full sun but there are some shady sites. Various sites have a really odd placement so you might want to be particular about which one you are assigned. There are no fire pits but they rent propane ones. They were slowly replacing tired picnic tables with new ones. There are serious connection issues here. The cable did not work; however, satellite was possible in most sites. WiFi was for checking email, no streaming, and we got kicked off regularly. Verizon coverage ranged from 4g 1bar to 5g 3bars and could change in an instant. Hence, our phone hot spots were unstable. All the trash bins are located near the entrance, and all four bins were overflowing every Sunday afternoon. Traffic noise from 17 can be clearly heard even though it’s pretty far away. On a final note, be prepared for lots of ants and mosquitoes. Although the park is convenient for visiting the area, there are too many reasons not to return.

We’ve been stopping here for years on an overnight basis during our annual snowbird migration. This time we decided to extend our stay to nearly two weeks and explore the area. This RV Park has a variety of pricing for its sites based on someone’s opinion of their relative quality. In my opinion there are too many “quality tiers” but they do provide some insight into the relative quality of the various sites. Use this when you make your reservations. Since the pricing difference is fairly small, we chose a Premium Mountain View site (#303.) While calling it a “Mountain View” site is a bit of a stretch, we did enjoy the oversized site and the fact that we didn’t have anyone on our “camp side.” This made for a very pleasant stay. In general the sites here are larger than typical for a commercial campground. Many sites have trees for partial or complete shade. While the pads are gravel (and surprisingly level) there is grass in most other areas so that unlike so many RV parks in the desert SW, you don’t feel like you are camping in the middle of a gravel construction site. The CG is about 35 minutes away from Sedona and half that time to Cottonwood so it makes a good base from which to explore both of those resort oriented areas. The day hiking in Sedona is without equal anywhere else in North America and that alone justifies a visit to this area. We never use CG WiFi so I can’t comment on that. T-Mobile was non existent and Verizon was inconsistent but we were able to stream Netflix each evening.
There is very minor freeway noise from I-17. Most times you couldn’t hear the Highway, but when the wind shifted from the south there was some noise but not enough to be bothersome.
The staff were very helpful both when we were making our reservations and upon arrival.
We highly recommend this campground and will be back!

Ellen found a wonderful site that we could move to a couple days later for the duration of our stay. Thank you, Ellen. The amenities and activities at this park are top notch. Great pickle ball courts, a nice little miniature golf course and a beautiful pool/hot tub area. The waffle breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed walking around the park and along the river. Laundry is great, wifi not so much. This is the most dog friendly park we've been to in a long time. Lots of grass and places for the dog to do it's business.
